Interestingly, BT Sport has an audience share of 0.2% according to wikipedia, compared to BBC's 100% That would mean that by audience share, Tai polled 3x as many votes as the BBC winner Andy Murray....WOW!!! It's amazing what you can do when you play with statistics.

 

It is indeed - but not when the figures are ACTUAL nationwide interest shown rather than surmise. On your theory speedway is a sport with mass nationwide interest which, sadly, we know otherwise is the case.

 

Reality and not conjecture is the key factor. The figures I produced are not juggling - just how the Poll results went.

So, the BBC SPOTY programme - which is nationally known competition - proved more popular than a vote for a minority personality on a minority channel. Well, of course it did. We all know that. I just don't see what you're trying to achieve with your posts other than try to knock the fact that Tai Woffinden won a vote on a TV show.

I sub-edited for newspapers for some 58 years but am pleased I never had to face a contribution from you. You seem to specialise in only giving half responses that just create confusion.

At the moment you have deviated away from a comparison of voting figures on two Polls to matters that are not in anyway related to them.

Just to remind you: two sportsman polls were recently held. The voting figures for each have been collated on here. This was done so those BSF people interested could possibly make comparisons in regard to the results and the popularity of the sports featured. The original Post of these final voting figures made no comment in favour of either Poll.

Net result from your end: a seeming criticism of me because you are possibly seeing figures that cause you upset which are allied to your seeming viewpoint "always wear rose coloured spectacles when reading and writing about speedway."

I could just be like you of course, and miss the point every time, except the times when you try to stick a knife in the sport that gave you such a great living. You do yourself no favours by doing so. About 5 years ago you tried this with Parsloes, constantly slagging speedway but praising and mentioning Stock Car racing which seemed to be your new hobby horse at the time. You now return(without your stocks this time) and expect others to accept that you can constantly run things down without getting a response.

At the end of the day, if speedway is not for you these days, then sod off back the stocks forums.
