Amazing how they can do it this end of the season but not any other time :P

Applies to all clubs not just Cov and Leics.

COVENTRY can confirm new dates for three fixtures as the Elite League run-in continues.

The dreadful weather on Bank Holiday Monday resulted in both of the Buildbase Bees’ matches against Leicester being postponed.

However, these matches have been quickly re-arranged for THIS SUNDAY, August 31.

The meeting at Brandon will take place at 2.30pm with the return at the Jordan Road Surfacing Stadium at 7.30pm.

In addition, there is a change to the home fixture against King’s Lynn, which now comes forward 24 hours to Thursday September 4 (7.30pm).

The meeting was initially scheduled for the Friday, but this would have clashed directly with the return to the Ricoh Arena of Coventry City FC, whose televised League One match against Gillingham is expected to pull in a huge attendance.

Coventry Speedway did not consider it sensible to attempt to run a meeting at the same time, and we thank King’s Lynn for their co-operation in bringing their fixture forward.

With the return of the football club we will be looking into the possibility of some future tie-ups, and supporters who are attending the Gillingham match should retain those tickets.

Just to further complicate things it's Lions cubs at Mildenhall with a 3.30pm start which would normally involve Clegg & Sargeant for Lions & Bates for Mildenhall, obviously Coventry will get first call on Sargeant & I imagine Clegg will be excused & ride in the elite league team, but can't imagine Mildenhall releasing Bates for a re-arranged fixture. Also Klindt, if fit will be at Scunthorpe, but that meeting starts at 3.00pm so will he & Howarth make it to Leicester for 7.30.

EL with get priority which means Sarjeant,Bates and Clegg will all ride in this fixture.

Not sure about Howarth & Klindt, how long does it take to get from Scunthorpe to Leicester?

One and a half hours unless the sat nav sends you a strange way on A roads in the dark so you have to turn round and go back to Scunthorpe again to pick up the M180 and M1.
