lucifer sam 3,955 Posted September 16, 2014 (edited) The opening match of Group B of the play-offs. Ipswich will want to start with a home win, while Scunthorpe will be on the trail of away points. All the best Rob Edited September 16, 2014 by lucifer sam
Super Blue 616 Posted September 16, 2014 Bit early for this one but I will chip in and say a decent size home win is on the cards. Whether it will be enough to make a difference in the grand scheme of things is another matter. I'm sure The Rebels will rack up a couple of huge home wins in this group which will probably make all other results irrelevant. However, we can always live in hope! Roland 63 Posted September 16, 2014 We didn't do too bad down there in KOC (got to 41 I think?), I know it was all over by then but could be the same again if we thrash Scunny and Somerset at home and sneak something at EWR. Lets be positive about this.....its possible!!!
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv 10,710 Posted September 16, 2014 All 3 sides will be hoping for and perhaps expecting solid or even big home wins. It will be the team that can pull the rabbit out of the hat and produce a special away performance that will grab a place in the final. Confident the Witches can open up with a win by about 15.
CardinalSin 346 Posted September 16, 2014 We definitely need Manzares fit and healthy for this one. The boy is a heavy hitter at Foxhall and we'll need him.
2ndbendbeerhut 1,781 Posted September 17, 2014 A lot also depends if Tungate gets a 28 day ban for pulling out of the PLRC. Magnus Zetterstrom did in 2007 for choosing to ride for the Zlotys in Poland rather than represent his British club... Would also effect Bach and Allen in the PO's too!
TheScotsman 2,484 Posted September 17, 2014 Why has tungate pulled out?
2ndbendbeerhut 1,781 Posted September 17, 2014 Why has tungate pulled out? To ride in Polish Play offs, as have Olli Allen and Rene Bach i believe
TheScotsman 2,484 Posted September 17, 2014 But not cookie hopefully.
2ndbendbeerhut 1,781 Posted September 17, 2014 He's not been named in the Gorzow lineup as of yet, Claus Vissing is another who has withdrawn. So thats Ipswich, Berwick, Somerset and Workington all effected. Edinburgh and Scunthorpe still could be with Cook and Klindt's Polish teams still in Polish playoffs! Super Blue 616 Posted September 18, 2014 Surely in 2014 they wouldn't ban riders from most or all of the British playoff teams and effectively ruining the competition just for withdrawing from a one off individual event , would they ???

But why not? Did to Zetterstrom in 2007 but was just him. So its not right to ban 4 riders that are NOT putting their British clubs first? Allen is British so should ride here due to the agreement between Poland and UK. As for others? However in 2008 Jarek Hampel missed Ipswich's double header to ride for his Polish club and was given a 28 day ban, missing the semi final play off at Poole on the monday. Edit - Rohan Tungate has said that the BSPA have approved him missing the PLRC Edited September 18, 2014 by 2ndbendbeerhut

He rode for a Leicester PL select against a Poole select on Wednesday night. Edited September 18, 2014 by Had Enough Too

Having only just become the Witches no1 could have something to do with it as we have no idea how early he would have needed to commit to riding in Poland. Buttons 372 Posted September 21, 2014 Olly Allen should definately but his British club first, he is British after all. I think all those riders that miss the PLRC to ride in Poland should be banned as per Zetterstrom
