customhouseregular 1,651 Posted May 25, 2015 I don't disagree with you about Greg. But he's utterly boring. A question, there are two speedway tracks next door to each other, one had 4 Nicki Pedersens in a race, one has 4 Greg Hancocks in the race. You can only watch on of them, which will you pick? The 4 Nickis would take each other out. The 4 Gregs would all gate together and finish in a 4-way dead-heat. Difficult to say which would be the most entertaining

I'd go for the Danish demolition because the 4 Gregs would still be around to watch another day, NP would be no more.

Mixy230 120 Posted May 25, 2015 (edited) Strange arguements realy! Hancock is dull because he can gate quicker than everybody else (most of the time) Thats not his fault! Chris Harris is never dull and commits 110% as Tatum keeps saying (But he rarely makes the gate) Who would you rather watch? Who would you rather be if you were a racer? Who would you rather have in your team? Edited May 25, 2015 by Mixy230
phillipsr 2,057 Posted May 25, 2015 Dont think Harris is exciting either. Hancock is boring because if he doesnt gate generally he doesnt do anything. Harris is boring because he usually gates last and stays there

Grand Central 2,654 Posted May 25, 2015 This thread keeps coming around on a regular bisus. For me Greg is very good. And yes he is now old, and stil very good. But he is so just uninteresting, nonetheless. Its nothing to do with gating, or not passing. Being good, grinning and being a nice guy. It just turns out to be not enough and it leaves me totally cold. Greg has managed for 45 years without me cheering him on, quite well. And he will not care a jot, which is just how it should be. Mark 1,497 Posted May 25, 2015 Hancock is a brilliant trapper but doesn't risk trying to pass anyone when he rarely misses the gate. He rides within a safety zone taking as few risks as possible. I cant remember him going past anyone in a GP for a few years. The other riders bar Pedersen pay him far too much respect on the track. It seems to be an unwritten rule to not push him wide with a nudge entering a corner or give him an elbow from the gate. Very matey..
