T.N.T. 355 Posted April 16, 2015 Jason Doyle is a GP star! Â He is not returning though like AJ was after a long time away. Â Â Seems a bit strange that AJ and Doyle will ride in the same GP on Saturday and both will possibly ride on Sunday in Poland on the Sunday but only one will be fit to ride on the Monday in Britain ? Â Â Lawson and Bech have never really done too much at Monmore Green with Lawson 7+1 twice as a second string last season and Bech 7+1 and 5 with his best score as a heat leader but from five rides.and both rode in the meeting when Bomber guested for Tai and only scored 2 points. Â Last season Lakeside lost 48-42 at Monmore in the first meeting with PK, Davey Watt and Steve Worrall as their top three scorers while in the second meeting when Harris guested they won 46-44 with Davey Watt top scoring and Adam Ellis getting 9 at reserve against Jacobs and Perry but with Lewis Blackbird and Josh Bates it wont be as easy this time. Â Â Wolves to be comfortable winners here I think and a 54-39 scoreline with Doyle top scorer for Hammers and a solid showing from all the Wolves team with Wells and Thorssell again doing well at WV2
Bagpuss 10,783 Posted April 16, 2015 Is there a good reason for AJ's absence or is there some pee taking going on?
FAST GATER 853 Posted April 16, 2015 Is there a good reason for AJ's absence or is there some pee taking going on? This will always happen while GP riders are a law to themselves ,wouldn't mind in most cases they hardly pull any trees up when they do ride in the league because they fear injury and/or they have their best kit fo the GP's
mdmc82 2,878 Posted April 16, 2015 Is there a good reason for AJ's absence or is there some pee taking going on? He is injured. However if he rides on Saturday then he should be riding on Monday.
E I Addio 15,845 Posted April 16, 2015 Is there a good reason for AJ's absence or is there some pee taking going on? He has injured his knee. No idea how bad it is so we are not in a position to judge his fitness. One can understand a rider riding in a GP when carrying an injury, especially the first of the season when even two or three points could potentially be crucial to final placings at the end of the year. It's difficult to say whether he should or shouldn't be riding on Monday but everything we know about AJ suggests that he is not a micky taker, unlike your average Pole (Swiderski and Skornivki excepted). The thing about riding in Polznd is that he doesn't have to make a decision until tha last minute, as they have enough in the squad to put someone else in, plus he has a base in Poland and won't have to catch a flight home at some unearthly hour. In GB though, you can't really fly in in some Ryanair cattle truck with a dodgy knee then decide at the last minute you can't ride then expect a suitable guest to be dredged up at a moments notice. Â I don't think Doyley has ever guested for Lakeside so it with be interesting to see how he goes.

To me your either injury or your not ...the bit I don't understand is why Lakeside did not wait intill Monday morning ? Just say Aj injured and Doyle going to replace him , then no one bats a eyelid rather than doing it this way and people pointing fingers . Bees_Man 454 Posted April 16, 2015 Should be no facility. Bet he rides in Poland Sunday too.

If he wants extra leg room, pay £5 and he has it... so no excuse their either. Edited April 16, 2015 by BWitcher

Squads etc are irrelevant.    Fair enough taking his place in the GP if he is injured. The acid test will be if he then rides in Poland on Sunday and "aggravates" the injury and cant take his place at Wolves. Under no circumstances should a facility be allowed in that scenario
