Penny Cross 120 Posted June 28, 2015 i understand peterborough have blocked/objected to olly guesting for plymouth.how. Unless the rules have changes, its all about the 8 day rule. Guests can only be used providing they haven't appeared at that track within the previous 8 days. This rule doesn't apply to guests for No.1's. As Greenwood rode at the EoES on Wednesday, wouldn't that be the correct procedure?

No, as Greenwood wasn't a guest 8 days ago, he was a member of a teams 1-7.
Blackadder 280 Posted June 28, 2015 As reported - The 22 year-old Polish ace has been drafted in at reserve by the Panthers and is scheduled to make his debut when they entertain Plymouth on Sunday (June 28) providing the move receives official British Speedway Promoters' Association (BSPA) clearance. So, if Rafal has obtained clearance from today, Somerset will not have had the time to officially sign Oliver, who, for a short time, will not be in a declared 1-7, so therefore cannot guest. Does that make sense?
Pirate Nick 1,801 Posted June 28, 2015 Looking at the BSPA website, Somerset are still showing Benji Compton in the side therefore Greenwood is not currently in a 1-7 and is not eligible to guest?
tellboy 3,669 Posted June 28, 2015 Looking at the BSPA website, Somerset are still showing Benji Compton in the side therefore Greenwood is not currently in a 1-7 and is not eligible to guest? Looking at the BSPA website Greenwood is still in the Peterborough 1-7,Konopka is not in any 1-7 so I wouldn't look at that as being up to date. You should know by now the BSPA are behind everybody else in terms of being up to date with anything.
northyorksbear 610 Posted June 28, 2015 Can't see why Peterborough would need to object, surely team submitted (if including Greenwood) would just get rejected by BSPA as having a rider not eligible ??
proud panther 1,507 Posted June 28, 2015 James Wright isn't in a declared 1-7, but guests occasionally.
Lukas 911 Posted June 28, 2015 Who cares..he ain't riding and that's that.
bigcatdiary 3,165 Posted June 28, 2015 No, as Greenwood wasn't a guest 8 days ago, he was a member of a teams 1-7. But despite the BSPA not issuing a new GSA & Declaration issue (office closed over weekend) Greenwood isn't in a PL team so cannot guest under 17.7.1.3
Alan_Jones 1,005 Posted June 28, 2015 Ollie Greenwood is currently riding in the STR amateur meeting at Rye House.
scoobydoo 2,258 Posted June 28, 2015 PL racing is getting far to repetitive these days its every few weeks Plymouth are at the showground !! If Greenwood was planning already to be riding at Rye House today anyway perhaps Peterborough didnt object after all.
screm 8,059 Posted June 28, 2015 Something tells me that Mr Konopka might not be the answer.
Panthers89 1,922 Posted June 28, 2015 God we were awful, slow starting no effort and no nothing. Track was dry and slick, Plymouth made us look like novices, fast starting and attacked the track! Fair play an well done. Lewis, ully and rafal looked slow as anything, Lambert and Kurtz was erratic, Simon can let off as end of the day has earnt himself a poor meeting! Thank the Lord for mpt, shocking from the tapes but gets that inside line going.
