ruckerroo 792 Posted July 16, 2015 wolves are the new eastbourne, stale and predictable. pk seems to be ok for half a season then tails off but tbf hes a 3rd heat leader at best these days, freddies been complete toast all season. next year build round thorsell and the new pole and go from there, new broom needed
Tommy Sweetman 480 Posted July 16, 2015 Well that new plan from Adams worked well. Moved Freddie from terrible to mediocre but at the cost of PK going from mediocre to terrible. As BW said Adams has no interest and by association, IMO neither has CVS. It's bloody disgusting what has happened to the Club, it really is. And cant see it getting better anytime soon. With the Van Straaten clan of David,Mark and Karl waiting in the wings, and Adams son Chris also involved,it seems for the next three years at least, its gonna be keep it in the family. Even though we keep going on about expectations for 2016,tbh whoever has the job of assembling the new team is going to have his work cut out in putting a decent 1--7 side together. Cant see Tai and Pawlicki wanting to ride for a monday night track,Fred is no longer a trusted heatleader and certainly not a number one. PK cant go on forever .Wells career seems to have peaked.Jacob unlikely to ever to fill a 1-3-5 roll. The cupboard is virtually bare(no good going on about NP)with what assets we have left, and we aint got any money. So it looks like starting from scratch, but you dont win titles tracking a side full of freebies.

There is no issue with the majority of riders we have as long as they fill the right places in the team. What IS needed is a number 1. Lindgren isn't fulfilling that role anymore.. if Tai or Pawlicki came back, great, but highly unlikely. Might be time to try and sign someone like Jason Doyle. next year build round thorsell and the new pole and go from there, new broom needed Again, nothing to do with a new broom. We made the mistake of building around Thorssell this year and its one of the main reasons we are in the mess we are. If his average balloons back up above 6 again due to riding as a second string then he's the last person you want to sign. He was very fortunate to score as many as he did on Wednesday and if he hadn't fallen off on the last bend Ashley Morris would have beaten him in Heat 4. There is no doubt that a complete clear out is justified but just where are the replacements going to come from? The harsh truth is that there are very few suitable riders who want to ride in England on Mondays. The EL is dead and a drastic restructure is required. Somehow we need to structure the League in Britain based around riders who are based over here and want to ride in Britain. I know this wouldn't be easy, and would involve a considerable watering down of the league but speedway isn't viable in its current form and is dying on its feet. StarCrazy 9 Posted July 16, 2015 Wolves were very poor and just looked disinterested from the outset. Freddie Lindgren showed why he is not a GP rider anymore, lacked speed all night. Niels passed him in 13 like he was standing still! Good performance from Bjerre. Looked a different rider and had a bit of confidence back. Good to see.
