Trees 2,814 Posted September 9, 2015 Could Lublin not afford to pay their riders?
Vince 9,458 Posted September 9, 2015 Something that could be done that would improve safety is to have a secret ballot of riders when they have complained about track conditions. I have seen situations where riders have been put under pressure by their promoters/ managers to continue with a meeting and there's absolutely no point in asking Ms Vardy or the like to make a decision on whether a track is safe to ride. As for making more protective clothing compulsory I would really disagree. To my way of thinking all riders know the risks and are probably the best placed to decide what they need. You need rules about the minimum sensible requirements but the rest should be down to the people at risk to decide.

theflyingkiwi 136 Posted December 15, 2015 I completed my Masters thesis on the topic of pain, injury and risk in Speedway. Very interesting to listen to the riders in their interviews with their early experiences in the sport through to the present day.
ColinMills 1,728 Posted December 16, 2015 think the riding style has changed big time. its far more aggressive in the gps especially, the way riders square off the corners. looking back at old world finals the riding style is totally different and they ..appear.. to shut off early into the bends
