Bostonian 188 Posted August 29, 2015 Another good result for the tigers. Slightly concerned with Paco's form though, hopefully he can kick on at reserve. Bates has done a great job down there this past month and near enough won us meetings with his big scores. Looking forward to the derby on monday down at sunny scunny! Halifaxtiger 5,318 Posted August 29, 2015 Not as good as last week, but still a good meeting It remains to be seen whether Sheffield's team changes will benefit the side or not (although, to be fair, they virtually had to be made) in the play offs. Very impressed with Garrity and Bates - both have come on a bundle since I saw them last time.

I don't think any Sheffield fans expect the team to get very far in the Play Off's, the fact that we have despite the injuries and deportation problems faced with losing riders we have done really well to get there. But then again we thought that Edinburgh would come to Sheffield just over a week ago and turn us over big style, how wrong were we on that one. The feel good factor is definitely shining at the moment where we bucking the trend of British speedway with crowds levels rising and a set of riders who are not only winning but producing some exciting racing. And just to show how crowds levels are up, the carvery in the restaurant ran out of meat, for the Edinburgh match.
pvm 116 Posted August 30, 2015 if running out of meat is a sign of good crowds, we must be doing brilliantly at Redcar... we quite often run out of pie & peas before the meeting starts...
