BTFC LION 163 Posted April 10, 2016 Norrie said last night that they had spoken to a rider already. But would need to get the deal done today so they can declare in time for the Swindon meeting.

Cheers, the way he's been riding I doubt it'd take much persuading to part ways with Walasek. They must have someone lined up to replace him (or a guest I suppose) if they're talking about declaring the team for Wednesday
A ORLOV 8,628 Posted April 10, 2016 Oh dear there is a threat of rain at Leicester between 4 and 8pm on wed on the BBC forecast.
Shale Searcher 1,264 Posted April 10, 2016 Oh dear there is a threat of rain at Leicester between 4 and 8pm on wed on the BBC forecast. That weather forecast is >72T ! To early to be believed! As low as 15% reliability at that distance..
SCB 0 Posted April 10, 2016 No point sacking without a replacement in mind. Would Kenneth Bjerre be available and acceptable? You say that but a blank can't do any worse than Walasek has done in a couple of meetings!
Gemini 4,894 Posted April 10, 2016 That weather forecast is >72T ! To early to be believed! As low as 15% reliability at that distance.. So what is the reliability 48 hours in advance which seems to be the point at which Sky decide whether they're going to turn up or not?
Shale Searcher 1,264 Posted April 10, 2016 >48T is a little more reliable than >72T, but a lot depends on the general weather set up.. At this time of the year, it's (the weather) is in A transitional state, very fluid, very unpredictable. The jet stream, polar vortex, el nino, the azores, it's a right old melting pot, and a shift of only a few milibars either way can change a forecast drastically...
beckettlion 195 Posted April 10, 2016 Lions just tweeted that Walasek has been released with Summers coming in to replace him for Wednesdays meeting against Swindon
mdmc82 2,878 Posted April 10, 2016 (edited) Summers is a good signing if he will ride as a 2nd string. Not convinced if as a heatleader although that said he couldn't do any worse than Walasek. You know he will give 100% At present, there only looks to be 3 fixtures clashes with Glasgow so should be available for most meetings Edited April 10, 2016 by mdmc82
Crazy robin 2,963 Posted April 10, 2016 Good luck after Wednesday to Aaron who is a decent rider who did a good job for the Robins last season. When you look at a lot of the riders in the Elite League he is better if not on par than the majority of them.
Mr Bump 254 Posted April 10, 2016 Certainly no shortage of Aussies on view on Wednesday then. Strewth!
Weeyin 1,022 Posted April 10, 2016 Spud should do a good job for you... he has started the season well, hope he stays safe though, we need him. He never gives up even if he misses the start

barrow boy 119 Posted April 11, 2016 Before the season started Leicester wanted to sign Ben Barker but they were prevented from doing so by Glasgow because they did not want to risk him being injured or having any bike problems just before any of their matches the following day. Presumably they have no such worries regarding Aaron Summers.
