Sheffield 17/09

Recommended Posts

Surely the 24th would be the best date, because we are already without Ulrich, & 2 guests plus RR isn't very appealing for either set of fans.

There should be deadlines for play-off meetings. It's ok waiting until later but you have the farcical situation of Peterborough wanting meeting later due to rider riding in the U21s that but delays all later rounds and will see Edinburgh likely to have to run meeting without Masters and Sedgmen who will be in Australia for the GP - plus it'll be colder, darker and probably wetter.

If this is Sheffields reserved date for the play-offs then Peterborough should suck it up.

Sheffield have already had 2 blank Thursdays; another one is just not on. Fixture is now showing on the BSPA list.

No way should we ride with half a team

Withdraw then..... :P

You signed both Grondal and Thomsen in full knowledge they were in the U21 and that these dates would be the reserved dates for the first play off matches - tough!!

Sorry although I have a degree of sympathy for Peterborough, the date is reserved for the Play Offs, so that should be when the match should be raced on the 17th.

We cannot have teams dictating to us when a fixture should be raced because they don't have the riders available.

A few weeks ago we went to peterboro with 4 of our riders one of which was ill and shouldn't have rode,2 guests and r/r !!! We accepted the late fixture against our promotions wishes. No peterboro fans wanted that meeting putting back if I recall !!!!! This is the way speedway is at the moment so weve just got to get on with it.Weve had to do that all season.Cant see peterboro putting a poor team out anyway so cant see the problem.

trying to replace grondal and thomsen will be nigh on impossible with riders with the same ability , but if there forced to ride fixture Richard Hall , Jonas Andersen look the most obvious replacments

you will get replacements who have achieved the same averages and are therefore of pretty much equal ability by definition.....

Richard Hall is an Owlerton track specialist and Andersen made the PLRC Semi Final, would provide good cover for both riders.

Of course that's assuming Peterborough will be granted facilities for their missing riders.

I would go for this side

1. Ricky Wells

2. Simon Lambert

3. Michael Palm Toft

4. Anton Rosen

5. Ben Barker

6. Richard Hall

7. Rafal Konopka

Sheffield now firm favourites but If we manage to keep the deficit down to 10 then we could do it at EOES
