tyretrax 2,253 Posted September 28, 2015 Forty three years since the passing of Svein following a crash at Hampden. Still sadly missed at Glasgow. A memorial stone from Norway has now been installed at Ashfield. Rest In Peace dear friend.
steve roberts 9,246 Posted September 29, 2015 I remember Svein Kaasa when he rode briefly for the Oxford 'Rebels'. A sad loss as I believe he was starting to show some form when he joined Glasgow. RIP
cyclone 943 Posted October 1, 2015 Read the article in the Glasgow programme on Sunday and unfortunately the description of the tragic incident was incorrect as it happened on the third bend. I was there and you never forget such an event

Reviresco 708 Posted October 4, 2015 Reported as being the first bend on the tribute on the Speedway Plus site: http://speedwayplus.com/SveinKaasa.shtml Good to see that they have a memorial to Svein at the 'new' Hampden and great that Ashfield has added it's own tribute. R.I.P.
