Gemini 4,894 Posted April 18, 2016 I can see no reason why we wouldn't be allowed a guest. He is our number one. If the Torun meeting is not a rearranged fixture, Holder by not being a Brit doesn't have to put uk first, unfortunately. A guest should be allowed. If we have to run with a 3 pointer Coventry will get the points in a hollow victory which will be poor for everyone. Is he Polish then? It's only April and I'm cheesed off already with what looks like another season of guests/rider replacements. If Holder chooses to ride for Torun rather than Poole then it should be a National League rider as a replacement. You can borrow one from the Storm if you like. How bloody hard is it to arrange fixtures when both teams have all their riders available?! Too hard apparently.
Woz01 3,589 Posted April 19, 2016 It wasn't a choice for Holder, the Torun fixture was on the list first so he rides there. Surely its not difficult to have another side ride Friday night instead.
Steve Shovlar 10,452 Posted April 19, 2016 Very disappointing that we don't go to Coventry at full strength. A gues is never the same. If Holder scored five then fair enough he has a duffer and we lose. If a guest scores five then we lost because of that and Holder would have scored more etc etc. Guess we will discover who Matt has lined up in the next couple of days. It wasn't a choice for Holder, the Torun fixture was on the list first so he rides there. Surely its not difficult to have another side ride Friday night instead. This is something that could be avoided. The fixtures come out far too late and other leagues have their fixtures sorted way before the uk. Whoever planned Fridays Cov v Poole meeting must have known before the season even started that Holder would not be available and this meeting could have been switched a week to avoid this scenario. Trees 2,814 Posted April 19, 2016 We could bring them out before anyone else but there is no point cos the riders couldn't afford to put us first .....

Skidder1 7,664 Posted April 19, 2016 (edited) According to Poole's website its nothing to do with whose fixtures were out first or any preference by Chris - Torun get preference because Holder has been contracted to them uninterrupted for longer than Poole (He missed part of the 2014 season)!! MF tried to get the fixture switched but Mick didn't want to play ball. I've started the Bees v Pirates thread now.............! Woz01 3,589 Posted April 19, 2016 (edited) Although i don't see why the fixture was put on this date in thw first place, Horton is well within his rights not to change the date once it was agreed. Ford wouldn't change the date if the boot was on the other foot. Other clubs have to make do when things like this (happened to Cov numerous times) at least it will make it closer. Steve Shovlar 10,452 Posted April 20, 2016 Weathers all set fair today so no problems with this not taking place. Should be an entertaining meeting.

I hope it will be entertaining for the thousands of attending fans. I doubt it though. Hope all riders stay safe.
