sandman 0 Posted March 18, 2003 OK Zetters, close but since you are obviously Swede, you could be biased. But to throw a bit of flavour into the mix, probably the one man who is evergreen and leaves all behind is..... Ice Racing Twice World Champ, 25 consequetive World Finals and still a threat at 54... Per Olov Serinius. Top that :!:

tigerlouisfan 8 Posted July 23, 2004 Nice to see Tiger Louis and Billy Sanders mentioned
SuzieQ 0 Posted July 23, 2004 Billy Sanders was my idol in the 70's and early 80's But being a Poole lass there are so many that graced our team over those years, Mike Caruso (spelling) Scott Autrey, Danny Kennedy, Ron Preston, Christer Sjosten,Michael Lee and then obviously JD and Middlo. Moving towards the late 80's and early 90's you would be hard pushed to find any better team riding pair than David Biles and Kevin Smith, they were a dream to watch at Poole! iris123 21,083 Posted July 23, 2004 Agree with those that mentioned Tommy Jansson and with Grachan`s choice of Martin Ashby, but would also say, in London at least Barry Thomas was great.Don`t know how he went on the northern tracks though
boywonder 0 Posted July 23, 2004 If we bring up NL then Joe Owen and Dave Perks were gods.

Guest albeeback Posted July 24, 2004 Have to give a mention to Bob Valentine. When Bob moved from Sheffield to Coventry, a friend, a Tigers fan, took me along to see him. That was my first experience of speedway. Going off on a tangent, Peter Prinsloo was a great guest for the Bees around that time. He used to fly around Brandon. Booey on one of Peter's bikes was even quicker ....
