Grachan 7,364 Posted May 6, 2016 You talk some absolute garbage at times. Adam Ellis is a heat leader yet you seem to think thats fine for him to go even lower than the premier league and ride national league!! Come on give your reason why thats ok but Cook isnt??? A British rider wants more track time surely thats good for Team GB isnt it?? Adam Ellis shouldnt be allowed to ride National League its disgraceful that a rider of his ability takes a place from a young English lad. You want Josh G not to ride premier league?? You want Danny King not to ride premier league?? Do you even think before you post?? Do you know the reason Cook's move was blocked?? I believe you dont. He isnt allowed to double up because the race nights clash. If it was another club it would have been fine as quite rightly it should. Lets hope Ellis is barred , as he should be, from National League and that if Kyle Newman is a heat leader then he is stopped from riding for Plymouth! What a strange post Adam Ellis is not a bonafide header and everyone knows it. Cook is.
Gavan 5,062 Posted May 6, 2016 (edited) Adam Ellis is not a bonafide header and everyone knows it. Cook is. What if Eliis keeps scoring well and stays there?? An if you read my post you will see i havent mentioned anything about Ellis riding Premier League as he should be allowed to. What is wrong is that he is doing National League, apparantly for testing!! That is stopping youngsters riding at that level and is wrong Cook wants to have more meetings nothing wrong with that. lisa-colette 6,051 Posted May 6, 2016 Danny King ? EL Heat leader. Are you sure? Rides like a reserve.
SCB 12 Posted May 6, 2016 Came onto this threading thinking just how stupid it is for Cook to be riding in the PL, considering he is an EL heat leader. In no way should he be dropping down. Now reading a few pages in, common sense has been used by the MC to block the move. It has upset the Peterborough promotion but tough. An EL heat leader should be nowhere near a PL team berth. Easy pickings and to make easy money. That's all this was. Cook hasnt yet been picked to ride for his Polish club. They would never give him a berth if they see is after easy money. BSPA MC are bang on the money with stopping the move IMO. Absolutely agree. No place for Cook in the PL. can't see why some are moaning at the MC who have made the right call IMO. So what about Poole heat leader Adam Ellis riding in the NL? Or 7.5 EL rider Newman riding in the PL?
lisa-colette 6,051 Posted May 6, 2016 So what about Poole heat leader Adam Ellis riding in the NL? Or 7.5 EL rider Newman riding in the PL?Have they got their averages from riding against heatleaders though or second strings and reserves? Cook was BV's best rider for last 4-6 weeks of last season. frigbo 524 Posted May 6, 2016 Good to see the BSPA actually making a sensible decision for once. Rider commitment clashes are already ruining the sport - at least this attempts to stop even more. The riders need to see the bigger picture.
Shale Searcher 1,264 Posted May 6, 2016 If Craig Cook wanted more track time, to bolster his earnings, why on earth choose a track that has the same race night as his other club?? He can only ride in one place at a time, so that defeats the point of the whole exercise???
PolskiZuzel 329 Posted May 6, 2016 Craig had a team place in Poland. Turns up for every practice session but they refused to pick him on race Sunday. This is the reason he's gone to Peterborough. There is no such a thing like " a team place in Poland". Polish clubs have " a squad of riders" from which they can pick and chose. That is to say" a rider has to earn "a team place in Poland". In other words, if the Polish team manager reckons Craig, or any other rider on his list of riders, is good enough, he will pick him up. Another thing, there is no such thing as "they refuse to pick him on race Sunday". Craig has to be better in pre-meeting pratices that he is better that a rider next to him. PolskiZuzel 329 Posted May 6, 2016 (..) Gorzow still have Zmarzlik at reserve!! No they Don't. Zmarzlik is still under 21 rider and that puts him at either no.6 or
Trees 2,814 Posted May 6, 2016 (edited) No they Don't. Zmarzlik is still under 21 rider and that puts him at either no.6 or 7 Is that not the reserve position? It is here ...... Thing is he is now a GP so should be a heat leader in the team surely? Edited May 6, 2016 by Trees
SCB 12 Posted May 6, 2016 Is that not the reserve position? It is here ...... Thing is he is now a GP so should be a heat leader in the team surely? Why? He's under 21. Rules say under 21 rider stay in reserve. Why should he be punished for being good?
Guest Posted May 6, 2016 (edited) ALL British riders should be allowed to ride in both leagues. I think it should be a speedway carte blanche and riders allowed to race in all three leagues. Edited May 6, 2016 by Guest
PolskiZuzel 329 Posted May 6, 2016 Is that not the reserve position? It is here ...... Thing is he is now a GP so should be a heat leader in the team surely? Trees, I thought you are enough experience member of this forum to know that things in Poland are not the same as in the UK. Polish League's teams don't have reserves. Their teams are Not restricted by accumulated CMA. They usually have a pool (squad) of riders from which they pick and chose. So Zmarzlik, Drabik, Przedpelski, etc. will occupay nos. 6 and 7 as lomg as they are U-21.
