Glennylion 89 Posted October 4, 2016 Meaningless farcical meeting where every thing will be half hearted. Nothing coming out of the club, not in contact with local media and no one knowing what's currently going on or plans for the future.
Trees 2,814 Posted October 4, 2016 The BSPA should make a statement about Leicester.

Mr Bump 254 Posted October 4, 2016 The BSPA should make a statement about Leicester. It would certainly be lovely if somebody did.

FROM THE LIONS WEBSITE: New Date for Kings Lynn Fixture Posted: 04 Oct 2016 16:10 Leicesters final Elite League fixture of the season against the Kings Lynn Stars which was due to take place at Beaumont Park on Friday has now been postponed until Saturday 15th October. It was disappointing to say the least but due to some of our team being unavailable it meant that we would have had to rely on guests to complete the side. We explored several options but in the end we were unable to assemble a competitive team and therefore took the decision to defer the meeting until next Saturday explained the Lions Co-promoter - David Darcy. Glennylion 89 Posted October 5, 2016 (edited) Still has to be run.. There's fines for uncompleted league fixtures.. I know there will be fines if not completed and as a result it needs staging but that emphasises the fact that all the meeting is is a tick box exercise that no one really wants and as a result will be approached half heartedly. proud panther 1,505 Posted October 5, 2016 Sincerely hope that this doesn't turn out to be the last meeting at Leicester, if it actually happens.

Daniel Smith 5,666 Posted October 5, 2016 Still has to be run.. There's fines for uncompleted league fixtures.. You really think Leicester are worried about another fine? There is a real belief that 2016 could be the last of Leicester Lions. After being fined heavily by the SCB regarding conduct v King's Lynn at home in the A fixture and not receiving backing from the BSPA, what better way is there than to mess about the BSPA Chairman, King's Lynn's management, riders and fans. Bspa would be happy with fines , Well, Somebody has to pay for the champers at the AGM . why not pop their greasy fingers into Leicester's bond money . a move that would be in keeping with their track record of assisting ailing clubs ,
Hamish McRaker 601 Posted October 5, 2016 May as well settle it at the ELRC - have 1 heat of Iversen/Lambert v Hougaard/Starke after the ELRC (coin toss if its a 3-3)
weatherwatcher 664 Posted October 5, 2016 Will this meeting ever happen, as someone said who pays the fine anyway. The whole thing with BP is a total shambles. The best thing that DH could do is to just walk away from it give the stadium to a new promoter who knows a bit about running a speedway club. Can't see him ever doing that though. He should hang his head in shame for what he has done here, for all the hard work that so many people put in to get speedway back up and running again in the city, for it only to get in the mess it is in now. All because he would not listen, he would not listen to anyone on the track shape, this is my baby, keep your nose out, then the worst thing that happened he took the club into the Elite League. Running the team on a shoe string budget. This year was even worse, he got together a team that would have stuggled in the PL and the fans started walking away. Lost his main sponser and noone else wanted to know. What will 2017 bring, will things be sorted out over the winter and see the Lions under a new owner or will the stadium be locked up and taken over by the council and be bulldozed flat. The last part I hope doe's not happen, I just wish they would have the guts to come out of Lala Land and let people know what is actually going on. Mr Bump mentioned the Mafia, even they talk more than the Lions management do. What a terrible state of affairs to let, things get this far. Shame on all of you if you let speedway die again in Leicsester..
