Kings Lynn V Swindon 18/8

Recommended Posts

Without knowing the team format or the strength required next year it would be difficult to know what direction to go. But we have too many riders with other things on their minds... Rory and Batch are recovering from injuries, so always a question mark, Niels hasn't got the time to devote to all the matches, Huckenbeck is a waste of space..

Using Lambert and Rose as examples we want riders who are prepared to fight and be totally committed to the cause. If they can't do that then we don't want them here....

I agree it would be difficult without knowing next season foremat but let's get someone in who's going to get people talking get some interest back this season is over regarding play offs but let's not end this season on a total downer or we will take that mood into 2017

Great result. But it is a long way especially after the A14 was closed, and there were several diversions, and after 25 mile we ended up back where we started!

Virtually no overtaking. Josh's one in heat 3 to go between both Stars being the only one not gifted. Also very surprised no track grading until after heat 10 considering we were out the gates quicker than the Stars.

There was virtually nomovertaking the week before either. Lambert made the only true passes, the others being rider error.

Kings Lynn track is getting on par with Leicester.

Were you watching a different match to what I was??? A marked improvement from Huckenbeck with 5 points... total commitment spending and effort... getting back to what he was a the start of he season..

Rosco threw the towel in weeks ago, if we even get a point i'd be surprised.

Surprise, Surprise! :lol::lol::lol:

But I most admit that you never know what team will turn up with the Robins, this year.

An injured Bomber Harris got 9+1 from 4 rides, and that was riding injured with busted ribs/bruising.. You can't knock the fella for his commitment, and taking the guest booking, perhaps nobody else would?

Iversen has gone off the boil by the looks of it..

What was the track like tonight?

can't understand why some are surprised that swindon won!!!!??

yet another patched-up Lynn side had no chance.....even Kai getting some points for a change didn't make any difference...... Niels has given up it seems but the rest were mediocre at best.

its good of Harris to turn up ofc but if he's unfit he'll not be at his best so why bother? 9+1 from 5 rides is no replacement for Lanbert. Plus ofc Kerr was no substitute for Rose and it was nfair on Bailey to expect much from him.

Lynn have been under strength all season so no great surprise that this was our 4th home loss!

Terrible season :sad::mad:

The fight for 4th place looks like it will go down the Lakeside V Swindon fixture on September the 16th. Swindon are 4 points ahead, but have only 2 home meetings left, whereas lakeside have 3. Assuming the home team win each of them, then Lakeside need a point at Coventry (possible), King's Lynn (also possible) or Wolves. Swindon are unlikely to pick anything up at Belle Vue or Wolves.

Of course, if Swindon lose at home to Poole, then things get more interesting, with (probably) only a Swindon win at Lakeside being enough to make 4th place in the table.

Looks like an exciting run-in for 4th place

Niels was pretty annoyed with himself given the attack on the pit wall!

I hope the team can redeem themselves in our last few home matches, go out with a bang not a whimper

Come on SF, it's his job to try to keep some semblance of positivity. Over the years Rob has always given honest replies/reports, he's not changed, whilst it's mathematically possible, fat lady sings etc .

If you are impressed with Huckenbeck then so be it. but he doesn't rock my boat. Ask yourself what other team would want him. He has been a big disappointment after a decent start of the season. He would be hard pressed to attain a PL spot, let alone one in the top division.....

Last night he had four rides, In his first he gated on Sedgman and PL rider (Lanham); Second race he fell off, (how many times does he do that), Third ride he came second beating only Nielson, on a broken bike, and his last ride he fell off again. Actually he would have been better for the team had he kept down enabling a rerun, giving Niels another chance to win against Morris....

Probably you were watching through those rose tinted glasses, but to me, I see it as it is.....
