Panthers won the lot - the Division Two title, the KO Cup and the Four-Team Tournament at the Showground. A new promotion, headed by Peter Oakes and James Easter, swept into the Showground during the winter. They quickly assembled a new-look side, only Aussie ace Stephen Davies remaining from the misery of ‘91. He was appointed captain of a team featuring popular Mick Poole, Paul Whittaker, Mark Blackbird, Rob Colquhoun and Paul Hurry. Rumour has it he told porkies about his riders being paid upto date when a few are still owed for a fair few meetings!!!
