kingbee 510 Posted September 15, 2016 What is wrong? Signing a rider for an injured rider is in the rules, so not cheating. Lindback hasn't ridden over here for a long time, is it in the rules that Poole can ask the other members of BSPA to have his last average looked at? Yes, still not cheating. Now if you have a problem with the average given then Poole didn't choose it other promoters would have chosen that. Possibly even the Wolves promoter agreed to it! Edit- bet you would have no problem with it if Lindback signed for Swindon on a 7. Don't turn too green with your envy I thought GP riders came in on 8 point average ?
Woz01 3,589 Posted September 15, 2016 He's ridden recently then? Til he does or doesn't ride on Saturday, there is no fact! He's named in the line up on Saturday so surely no move can be ratified until we find out one way or another.
tellboy 3,662 Posted September 15, 2016 Tbh there should simply be a mechanism in place to give an average based on average in elitseren/ekstraliga which would remove such arguments There is,but only to riders new to the EL
lisa-colette 6,032 Posted September 15, 2016 1. Is Hans actually out for the season? 2. If Hans rides on Saturday then Poole clearly cannot have an injury replacement 3. If Hans re-injures himself on Saturday then still no injury replacement allowed as it is too late 4. No way is Antonio Lindback a 7 - no matter how hard anyone tries to justify it 5. If you think that this is a like for like injury replacement - you are in cuckoo land 6. If the BSPA have allowed this then they are corrupt to the core 6. Poole are CHEATING SCUMBAGS! Can't cheat if we haven't broken any rules! Would you like a dictionary? 'If the BSPA allowed this to happen?' They decided the average FFS. Who do you think decided it? The Poole track man? God your worse than Starman! As for the Hans thing, he hasn't ridden yet. If he rides on Saturday then you have a point, but he hasn't yet, so you don't. Steve0 5,517 Posted September 15, 2016 I thought GP riders came in on 8 point average ? Only those that don't have a current average (ie have been away for 3+ seasons). This is why Tai's signing is OK and Lindback's isn't Can't cheat if we haven't broken any rules! Would you like a dictionary? 'If the BSPA allowed this to happen?' They decided the average FFS. tellboy 3,662 Posted September 15, 2016 We haven't signed a ringer like Wolverhampton, who brought in Woffinden and removed a fit rider simply to strengthen up. We brought in a replacement for an injured rider who Fricke of Belle Vue speared, obviously not intentionally, but nevertheless did, causing us to loose our heat leader. Simple as that. Webdidn't want to go into the playoffs with a rider carrying an injury so replaced him with one of our assets who hasn't ridden in the Uk for 9 seasons. Its a huge gamble and a big ask for the lad as he will have no track knowldge but he can only do his best for us and we can't ask any more than that. Nothing wrong with Woffinden coming in,it was within the rules but you can't seem to grasp that.Didn't you bring in Pedersen for a fit D.Watt, works both ways you know.
Steve Shovlar 10,439 Posted September 15, 2016 It makes no difference if Hans rides or not. The changes has now taken place. Lindback is in and Hans is out for the rest of the el season. If he wishes to ride with his injury that would be soley down to him. He is still in with a shout of a podium so riders do do silly things when seeking personal glory and I will be hoping he has a great meeting if he chooses to ride. But league racing is different and it's not worth taking that risk. A wise and sensible move by Matt Ford and one nearly all, (with the exception of Chris4gavan) will appreciate. lisa-colette 6,032 Posted September 15, 2016 I thought GP riders came in on 8 point average ?Someone on twitter mentioned it was riders in the GP who haven't rode over here before a la Dudek if a team wanted him for 2017 season.
tellboy 3,662 Posted September 15, 2016 Dudek, Vaculik, Laguta and Zmarzlik are also on the same average as Lindback. Dudek,Vaculik and Laguta should be assessed on the leagues they participate in according to SCB rules

Surely Poole would have had a Drs note for Hans stating he is injured, enabling us to use a facility for him. Therefore at this point in time , he is injured. Would you agree that tai is also not a 7pter? An open question for anyone informed, as speedway riders are self employed riding across various countries and competitions, Hans lining up to ride in an individual event is surely different to a team event, so he could declare himself fit as he is not bound to league regulations in an individual ?
