mdmc82 2,878 Posted November 10, 2016 He's not. BV - first time riding the track this season. Cov - Can get around Brandon easily KL - The same as Coventry Leic - The same as Coventry & KL Poole - The same as the 3 above Swindon - The same as the 4 above Wolves - The same as the 5 above. Hans will also be able to get around Rye House easily imo. When was the last time you watched him at Coventry 😂 Hardly gets around easy. http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/15837/coventry-poole-el-15-2016
BurntFaceMan 413 Posted November 10, 2016 (edited) Gutted for Poole fans. You can tell how upset they are by the way they have all camped out on the Swindon thread because that's where the World class riders now ride. No genuine world stars now at this once great club. A sad day for the sport. Poole could bankroll the biggest stars in the world. It's the sport you should be gutted for, not Poole. The fact the club has to stoop so low to put a competitive team together really shows you how pathetic this league has become. Sadly this is likely to be the first and last SGB Premiership season. I can see a lot of clubs failing to make ends meet this season off the back of these rules. Edited November 10, 2016 by BurntFaceMan
Skidder1 7,637 Posted November 10, 2016 Looking at the majority of riders down to compete in British speedway, most can be bracketed a GOOD 2nd strings or FAIR 2nd and 3rd heatleaders. Each able to take points off each other. We could assemble a team of consistent riders all around the 7 mark, but not one guaranteed to max out. Whereas a strong No1 could come in and clear up. scoring 12 plus each meeting. Also, when we come to heats 10 to 15 in a tight match, to retain any hopes of success a strong No 1 is essential . I understand what people say about getting rid of the top riders because of costs, but that needs to be done via the rules. While they are allowed, teams will continue to use their ability to give them an advantage....... A strong No1 is essential if you want to win....... What? well it didn't work for Kings Lynn or Poole last season!! A good winning team needs every rider to contribute to the team performance.
Gavan 5,050 Posted November 10, 2016 (edited) So Holder says the averages have forced him out erm no it's your team don't want you. All the fools saying Holder couldn't maintain his 12 point average but yet are happy for a rider on the downgrade to be their number one on an average above 10! Hans will do well to average 8. Big mistake without Holder. Doyle will get Swindon 14 or 15 most meetings and from heat 10 onwards you need a big hitter. Hans will go missing a lot and will do well to get double figures in most meetings. His last 4 scores at home riding as a heat leader were 6, 6, 7, 6 hardly number 1 material! With the sort of p1ss poor teams people are putting together this year he's not going to have any real competition to struggle to beat!

thestevecook 0 Posted November 10, 2016 Don't blame him with the points limit to be honest. And while others will disagree I'm not sorry to see the big names gone, British Speedway has been paying these riders money it can't afford. Spot on

DunRobin 465 Posted November 10, 2016 He rode at 1, 4 and 5 and usually scored 9 - 13pts each meeting. Must have had a lot of lousy meetings then as his average was only just over 7!

Gavan 5,050 Posted November 10, 2016 Must have had a lot of lousy meetings then as his average was only just over 7!from second string early on was banging in 9 or 10 points most meetings. When put into the heat leader role he was scoring 6 and 7. So he will definatly drop 2 points off his average I would say........oh just like Holder would have done
