Ipswich 2017

Recommended Posts

Welcome to the Witches Nathan.

Whilst he hasnt so far made the progress that may have been expected you have to give him credit for continuing to give it a go at the higher levels.

Probably the best choice of those available and likely to be a better option than any of the untried NL riders.

Lets get behind him and give him a fair chance. 👏👍

realistically were there any better alternatives? on the few times I've seen him ride theres appeared to be some potential, hopefully the likes of rory can take him under his wing and get the best out of him at this level! we all knew getting a replacement of danyon's level around foxhall on 2 point average was going to be difficult with no real options available, but welcome to the witches nathan!

Taken from updates 8/9/2016

Heat 02: Greaves,Jacobs,Sissis,Hume(Fell)...60.2. (2-4). 7-5.
Line Up: Jacobs , Hume , Sissis , Greaves
Comments: Jacobs passed Sissis bend 4 lap 1 to take the lead. Bend 2 lap 3(ish) Jacobs got a little out of sorts and we almost had a pile up but he stayed in the lead. Bend 3 lap 3 Hume did a lovely pirouette, fell off and remounted. At some point on lap 4, Jacobs was passed.

:t:

If he can manage that every week he will be doing his job as a 2 pointer

Yeah amazing. He beat someone that fell off and someone that almost fell off.

Anyway. He is definitely the best of what was out there, and he will get our full support I'm sure. And if he can score a few points now and then, then he has done his job

That's certainly clutching at straws that heat...... as Baldy says, 2 riders who almost fell off......

You're all being a bit hard on Greaves.

He will be a damned good signing.

See this from Speedway Updates - 24 April

Heat 02: Greaves, Riss, Clegg, Perks; 57.26; 5-1; 10-2
Heat 04: Nicholls, Masters, Greaves, Perks; 55.87; 3-3; 15-9

And Perks has been getting rave reviews.

And 18 April

Heat 11:(Re-Run): Fricke,Masters,Greaves,Worrall...56.80. (3-3). 36-30.

Heat 12:(Re-Run): Bjerre,Bewley,Greaves,Skornicki...57.06. (1-5). 37-35.

Greaves chases. He has been much better tonight.

And of course a 5+1 from 4 last week.

Sounds like a great signing to me.

Disrespectful from the Ipswich promotion to not even bother to let the IOW promotion know that they were talking to or signing Greaves! It doesn't take anything to just pick up the phone. The Warriors have been left without their heat leader now out of the blue.

Could also turn it the other way, and say why didn't greaves say to Ipswich about IOW priorities?
