Fromafar 10,376 Posted October 18, 2016 (edited) prem league was a very good product when points limit was 45 the only difference to the cost is the fees teams agree with there riders if the points limit is 36 good riders on 5point averages will demand more money than if the points limit was 45 riders on high averages will have to ride for less as there will be plenty wont get a team place so the higher riders will be compeating for team places I agree, lower the points limits means nothing regarding paying out points money.Typical blinkered approach.45 pt limit and agree a wage structure would be a better idea, but as usual self interest will win the day. What happens after next season lower the limit again to get rid of the top earners,Joke!!Ps Would like,Birmingham,Cradley and Eastbourne to publish what they are paying points money wise but will never happen. bruno 1,790 Posted October 18, 2016 Wasn't it Nicki Pedersen who said when you get rid of the top riders the next in line get the top money so you then get a watered down product
Baldyman 6,243 Posted October 18, 2016 Dream team: Holder 7.16 Newman 6.31 Jonas B 6.32 Hansen 6.25 Lasse 6.75 Shanes 3.00 Morris 4.37 40.04 With British average reductions would fall under 40.00, team full of progression and be superb around the EOES If it's a 40 limit, that's a winning team right there.

The Third Man 2,217 Posted October 18, 2016 If there is a furter reduction in the quality of the product there needs to be a reduction in prices to go along with it or crowds will drop even more and the proposed reduction in costs will be a waste of time
Baldyman 6,243 Posted October 18, 2016 When does anyone put their prices down? I've never known any club to, I may be wrong of course
cheggie 72 Posted October 19, 2016 (edited) No sure if this has been asked before, of if it is in the terrific rule book somewhere - but what is the plan for 3 pointers next year? Will teams need to introduce another new 3 pointer? Or can they bring back their previous '3 pointer' on their reduced British Average (2.5%), in order to help their progression in the sport? Otherwise, what happens to them - as we all know its a numbers game over the winter for team building. Edited October 24, 2016 by cheggie
The Third Man 2,217 Posted October 20, 2016 When does anyone put their prices down? I've never known any club to, I may be wrong of course When does any part of any entertainment industry reduce its quality year on year and, not only still expect people to turn up, but expect people to pay more for the privilege. and promoters wonder why crowds are going down
JackAlexander Bestow 0 Posted October 22, 2016 My team for Glasgow Next Year Would be - Steve Worrall 8.51 Richie Worrall 8.33 Rene Bach 7.32 James Sarjeant 5.80 Nike Lunna 4.86 Dan Bewley/Arthur Sissis 4.50**/3.79 Jack Smith/Luke Chessel/Tom Bacon 3.00 With Bewley = 4.27 With Sissis = 41.56 Or another scenario Craig Cook - 9.88 Aaron Summers - 8.13 Rene Bach - 7.32 James Sarjeant - 5.80 Dan Bewley - 4.50** Arthur Sissis - 3.79 Jack Smith - 3.00 =42.42 Just guessing what his average will end up Both of these teams could win trophies as you have a Very Strong top 4 round ashfield with the likes of Sissis being good round our place as well as Bewley, would like to see Jack Smith do some laps round our place! bigeddiechek 1,094 Posted October 23, 2016 Talk of reduction in prices. Berwick - on several occasions - reduced to £10.The result was the same gate, but a huge loss in revenue.
