Wolves V Poole 27/3/17 + Poole V Wolves 29/3/17 Es.

Why didn't they just change the lineups throughout the programme if it was wrong, all the fans had to do was put riders initials in, not that difficult imo.

It's an assumption. Guess we will know Wednesday if the shield is being ridden on old format.

It's must have been an error, otherwise Wolves rode illegally under the old format since Thorssell should have been at 1,3 or 5.

Would imagine Rowe was on the money with his post on social media. He generally knows what's going on.

Think you'll find both clubs rode under the old format

Both clubs should be kicked out if the sport is to have any integrity or fined would mean next round someone gets abye to the final but could be worse

Poole's riding order complied with the old format though.

This is the final of this particular competition so no next round.

Get your facts right before you have a whinge. This is the equivalent of football's season opener, league winners v cup winners. In speedway terms it's a glorified challenge match.

Wolves fan by any chance?

Still makes the sport image awful and if unpunished proves how badly speedway needs a separate governing body

Not really, riders get injured. It's not like they are riding elsewhere, you would have a point then

Used to be the rule that you can;t have R/R for any rider who has not ridden for you that season.

I thought last night was a really entertaining meeting, better than is often the case at this early stage of the season. A very well prepared track was a big factor in that, quite an achievement given the lack of rain in the area over the last week.

Thorsell was excellent and looks set to be another Swede off the treadmill for Wolves that looks capable of beating any rider in the world on his home track. Lets hope he can become a genuine heat leader away from home too. Freddie also rode well as did Masters after blowing the cobwebs away in his first two rides. And Howarth looked to have made a real step up on last season. Wolves did look weak at reserve but not many clubs have a rider as experienced as Klindt at reserve to exploit that.

Will be close on aggregate as Kasprzak, Kurtz and Holder will all score better at Wimborne Road but I can see Wolves just about winning it overall. As for the season, Wolves certainly have one of the better top 5's in the league but need to get their share of points from the reserves. Clegg needs to keep improving as he did last season, while Greaves rode ok last night, and at least at home should have the beating of some of the other reserves in the league.

Or as is usual clubs used the rules to suit. Used the Old format but applied new race format rules. Either way poor communication.

Is it possible they decided to run the shield in the old format as it relates to last season.

Enjoyed the meeting overall although the two 5-1's at the end were disappointing and why there were such large gaps between races at the start was puzzling and annoying, some good races though and Jack Holder very unlucky to get excluded, he seemed to improve as the meeting progressed. Brady started well and getting pushed towards the fence by Lindgren i don't think helped his confidence but was on the pace in most races. KK was his usual self at Monmore, Hans rode well particularly when winning heat 11. Shanes rode well and really think he could make a decent rider. Klindt rode better than i expected which was a bonus.

Exactly, of course it's possible and highly likely given how the BSPA run.

Obviously if Poole run the same format we will know and people can stop spewing bile about Wolves being in the wrong.

Either way pathetic communication to the most important people ...... The fans.

But they didn't fully employ last seasons format. It was the heat format from last year with subsequent rules on riding positions discarded.

Did the BSPA really come up with a hybrid set of rules just for two matches!

Wednesday won't really prove a lot either as Poole have time to reprint the prog before tomorrow.

Surely the two managers were happy with the way it was going to be run else wouldn't one of them bought it up before the meeting started.Unless none of them actually knew the rules anyway.
