Rye House Vs Swindon 08.04.17

Recommended Posts

I suck at predictions every time

One of my bets was Rye to win -8 points.Your not the only one

Swindon got 10 from 4 for Ellis.Big plus for them.

A good win for Swindon. RR actually works in their favour as Ellis wouldn't have scored anywhere near 10 with his poor start to the season.

Rye House are made up of very inconsistent riders. Apart from watt who usually struggles to score

A big well done to Swindon tonight !

I don't think anyone expected that result.

There's hope for those Rockinest Robins yet :t:

Thought Rye might get a small lead to bring to Swindon, but tonight was a pleasant surprise.

Shame Rye never had R/R for watt.... Wonder if he will go missing next weekend against the stars 🙈

Watt is going to be exactly like adam shields was when he made his eastbourne comeback, namely no good.

Once they lose the flavour for it forget it

Well that was unexpected & 10 points from r/r certainly helped alongside no Branford.

A good performance from the rest with even Emil winning 2 races.

Just a shame it wasn't a league match .

RR for Ellis means they are much stronger, with Morris, BWD, Bellego and the reserves allowed to take his rides. Puts Swindon as favourites to go through in my opinion, even if we had Branford. I wouldn't be surprised if Swindon sneak a win tomorrow.

Don't say I didn't warn you. Can't believe how anyone thought this would be a cakewalk for Rye. They must be idiots.

Swindon were always going to take advantage of RR, it was the game changer. The four RR rides brought in 10 points.

Add to that track specialists Doyle & Grondal plus Morris who was good value, not to mention BWD and it was a no brainer. Then you add to the mix Robson & Watt having a woeful start to the season and the loss of Branford.... What were you all thinking?

Then we come to the track. What's the point of having a team of racers and serving up a track as slick as that? I knew it was gonna be bad when the tractor was packing down the start line area before the meeting.

Crowd was down on last week, quite a lot less from where I was standing. Atmosphere was very flat. Last weeks smiles and laughter turned into scowls And grimaces.

Last weeks meeting was a false dawn it seems. Wolves are woefully weak at reserve and that made it easy for us. With a Grondal in their side they would've probably won a point at least.

Pleased to see my suggestions of selling raffle tickets among the crowd and an ice cream van were taken up. They even had a food stall on the third bend.

Only highlight was Ellis Perks who looked aggrssive and will improve even more.

Now we're all but out of the KOC, at least we can concentrate on avoiding the relegation play off.

Lots to ponder for the management and promotion before the feel good factor falls off the edge of a cliff.
