arnieg 3,644 Posted October 3, 2017 That's how I read it too. First team to gain an advantage wins. Indeed, but it could be an infinite number!
krompa 236 Posted October 3, 2017 15.15.4 After 3 additional heats if no Team has gained a heat Advantage, nominations will continue onthe basis of one heat at a time, with a toss of the coin for every heat; the winning team mayeither choose the Gate Positions or nominate 2nd. OK you guys should be right. First heat advantage. Sudden death. Misread it.
Ivanhoe 24 Posted October 3, 2017 Can't see the Swindon reserves getting many points tomorrow and that could be key to a Wolves victory.

foreverblue 6,096 Posted October 3, 2017 Didn't Liam Carr score a max at Monmore recently in the NL? He must have barged a few riders out of the way in that meeting! Can't see the Swindon reserves getting many points tomorrow and that could be key to a Wolves victory. And they can't get Newman because his average has gone up.

Perton Wolf 396 Posted October 3, 2017 Bomber with 10 points from 5 rides Howarth with 7 points from 5 rides Schlein with 12 points from 6 rides Masters with 10 points from 6 rides Riss with 5 points from 5 rides Greaves with 2 points from 3 rides Gives us a total of 46 which would be enough to see us home. That's assuming Masters is back on form after his last meeting at Monmore which was by his own admission, was his worst ever in Wolves colours!

I think all your team are on form and up for it, Schlein doing a proper captains job and helping out lesser riders with equipment is what any fan would want to hear. Clearly knows what he is doing too, Greaves was better and rode the track pretty well. It certainly looked like Wolves had done their homework and left no stone unturned. Fourentee 987 Posted October 3, 2017 Not over yet, no Lindgren or Thorsell, will go 45 each. Sold!
BWitcher 12,453 Posted October 3, 2017 Sold! That would be a tad stressful!
Fourentee 987 Posted October 3, 2017 ...and the nomination of 3 pairs appears to be that rare occurrence by the rule makers of thinking ahead and avoiding delays between heats. Would that it were so! But the rule clearly says that choice of gates/nominating riders second alternates. The three pairs thing just underlines (IMHO) that a rider can't be picked more than once in the cluster of three races. That would be a tad stressful! Nah, Swindon 5-1s in the last three heats!

If Poole were ever in this situation they'd have five riders go down with a sudden illness causing their withdrawal, leaving their top two to race in every heat.
