scaramanga 904 Posted November 28, 2017 You might be surprised - the roads aren't that bad and Keswick is only about 20 minutes away. I must admit I was pretty sceptical about getting the word out but agreed to do a stand at a show for Isle of Wight last season. I had that opinion rammed down my throat as I couldn't believe the interest, counting 10 people at the stadium on race night that I had spoken to on the preceding Saturday. One thing is certain. Within 20 miles or so Workington have an area that attracts huge numbers of visitors. If you don't get out there and make the Comets existence known, you won't get anyone. Has to be worth a shot, surely ? keswick is straight off the a66 then straight to workington go just a few miles more to ambelside or windermere and that extra few miles can take well over a hour in busy tourist season i know i travel them roads quite a lot its this part of the tourist part of the lake district i say is not really catchment area also id say the average tourist that is in the lake district will be more of a fell walker and "greeny" who would class motorsport as a sin

H20 48 Posted November 28, 2017 Keep reading posts about this trouble with the rugby club. Is it a secret ? Why is no one stating whats going on if there is any truth in it
scaramanga 904 Posted November 28, 2017 things arnt 100% but your looking too much into it time will tell if all is sorted till then dont worry too much it will easily be sorted if they follow the rules rather than listen to the wrong people

jenga 2,998 Posted November 29, 2017 if this is the way workington speedway operates with its riders , I DONT WANT TO BE PART OF WORKINGTON SPEEDWAY IN 2018 . matt is waiting for a phone call to either give him employment in the coming season OR a phone call to say he us not in their 2018 plans . how frigging hard is that to call someone . looks like golden balls holding riders by the gonads again . even a quick call to put him in the picture about the 2018 season . it will be a big loss to miss out on the ever improving matt w . geoff100 1,426 Posted November 29, 2017 Looking at some teams the league could be split in 2 between the have,s and have nots, not many out and out number ones left.
jenga 2,998 Posted November 29, 2017 (edited) There's been nothing announced from the comets management yet Jenga so chill your boots man its not the announcements to the fans i am concerned about . when matt says he has had NO contact from the management and openly put him self the market for employment in 2018 . matt needs to find out just what is happening for next season . so looks like we COULD be in the half of have nots ....... H20 48 Posted November 29, 2017 The trouble I see in the Comets team building is you generally start from your number one. We have lost our number one for 2018 and there and not that many number ones about especially when some teams sign two !! Matt has that average where you probably want to include him in your team but until you get other riders sorted his sort of average would be the final piece of the jigsaw. The team I named did not include Matt simply because of the other riders I picked. The last rider was a choice between Matt and Mason and I went for Mason who would have been at reserve. I k ow its only a team I picked but I went for depth as not any big hitters available Barker Sedgeman Jorgensen Bewley Proctor Campton Bickley Who would you swap in a team line up similar to that for Matt ? We all have our own opinions and its a tough one.
