More to the point, which is more important? National Trophy or National League? Why was the 8th July fixture a National Trophy fixture when it could have been a National League fixture, with the NT meeting waiting until after the cut-off date? The NT isn't time constrained, so why not make it wait until after the League match (which surely is in the more important tournament) has been fitted into it's time constraints. #speedwayshambles

If I remember correctly at the time of racing the NT match Bham were in with a chance of qualifying for the final.

Great 2 choices of 'riders' to see (Rowe/Gilkes....) be good if Danny Ayres/Adam Roynon are fit enough to ride for Cradley?:

LaurenceRogers 56 Posted October 10, 2018 NINE names have now been confirmed for Birmingham’s ‘Rivalries Renewed’ season finale at Perry Barr on Wednesday, October 17 (7.30). The three team, four-man tournament will see the Edwards Plumbing Brummies take on Wolves and Heathens Select sides on an exciting night of racing in the second city. Fans’ favourites James Shanes and Leon Flint will ride for Birmingham – the latter declaring himself fit for the finale after escaping with no broken bones from two heavy crashes at Mildenhall last weekend. The Brummies quartet is completed by rising star Anders Rowe as well as Dan Gilkes – a 3.00 unattached rider who will be hot property in the third tier next season. Wolves’ Select side includes Birmingham’s two-time title winning captain Tom Perry, former British Under-19 Champion Max Clegg and Dan Greenwood who had a brief spell with the Brummies earlier this season. Meanwhile the Heathens Select includes teenage wonderkids Drew Kemp and Kyle Bickley who both rode for Cradley during their 2018 National Trophy campaign. Birmingham co-promoter David Mason said: “We’re delighted that the line-up is looking so strong and competitive with just a few of the reserve positions left to fill. “It’s going to be a great meeting with a different format to round off the year and hopefully it’s going to appeal to all supporters across the Midlands because the winter is very long without speedway.” TEAMS SO FAR: BIRMINGHAM: James Shanes, Leon Flint, Anders Rowe, Dan Gilkes. WOLVES SELECT: Max Clegg, Tom Perry, Dan Greenwood, TBC. HEATHENS SELECT: Drew Kemp, Kyle Bickley, TBC, TBC.

But when they’re representing my team, I’d rather the riders be relatable else it feels like a team of guests.
