WalterPlinge 657 Posted October 11, 2018 Wouldn't they be better concentrating on finishing their official fixtures, which should have been completed by 23 September, before arranging something like this?
Pieman72 588 Posted October 11, 2018 It's nothing to do with Stoke Potters it's run by Helsby Grass Track Club as their normal Grass Venue is not ridable. If you've never seen Grasstrack give it a go 1000cc sidecars are awesome on a normal Grasstrack circuit.

I could have sworn it was at Loomer road? You know, that track that still needs to stage Official meetings that were supposed to be staged before 23 September. BSPA/SCB should block them from holding anything else until they fulfill their official commitments.
Pieman72 588 Posted October 22, 2018 It was an official ACU sanctioned meeting and run by their rules the similar to Sidecar Speedway. An excellent mixed event a good pointer to the future of Grasstrack and Speedway.
Sings4Speedway 3,247 Posted October 24, 2018 Normally id say sidecars tear up a track something terrible but at Stoke that shouldn't be a problem as it will be pre-ripped LOL Not sure how they will fare around there due to the width but i know they are excellent at Belle Vue & Leicester. If anyone goes keep an eye out for the GT140 class, will probably produce the most passing and is certainly something to look at for the future.
Pieman72 588 Posted October 24, 2018 500cc were planned but definitely too narrow. I'd not been to Stoke before, rough and ready but hey ho it's an operational track. 110% effort by the Helsby Junior GT Club for staging the event. Great to see such a variety of bikes and riders GT140's were competitive so too the 250's all went without any accidents too. For amateur/semi professional riders an excellent opportunity to have a run on a speedway track. Hopefully more tracks will stage similar events in the future. Solo's & Sidecars....bring it on as Grasstrack venue's are in short supply.
