jenga 2,998 Posted August 12, 2020 good to see speedway how it should be . in a field , grass banking and all the things you need for a good nights entertainment . all tracks should be like this . forget the NSS . its a concrete jungle . you dont need bling stadiums and all that other stuff . just good honest racing as this one was . i wish this track was closer , (200 miles closer at least ! ) AR looked class , as did all the cornets team on this vid . maybe have to become a southern softie ! missing our team and friends gained through the speedway connection . thanks for the vid and it was good to see a quite recent meeting instead of the usual vintage dross served up by some northern clubs . good quality picture and non of the betamax style coverage lol. . thanks .. J It's a credit to those who built it. However, go to a big meeting like the CL Pairs, stand on the grass banking, in the dark like a sardine, with barely any extra toilet or catering facilities and it's horrific. It's quite frightening on that grass when it gets damp and little or no public lighting. It's great for their normal crowds up to high hundreds, even then lack of toilets and catering can be an issue. Not suitable for big Events without massive increase in portaloos and catering.

I am sure that if the Rowe family had £30.000 pounds they would of loved to buy Anders 6 Holloway tuned engines - unfortunately they don’t so he took his English bikes and engines - also Holloway did not set the deal up either so wrong information you have there! No Holloway don’t help him get a spot and no he didn’t buy 6 tuned engines as that would of cost £30.000 He went with his English bikes and engines - so don’t know where you heard that rumour as all false
Najjer 2,890 Posted October 29, 2020 With the change in regulations out in Poland, I expect Luke Becker to land a position out there somewhere. He’s been linked with several clubs already. Assuming that British Speedway sticks with their plans of starting next season with the same line ups, if Becker gets a team position out there then I would expect Somerset to be lining up a replacement for him.
