If our rule makers are serious about promoting young British riders then their rising star averages should be protected, in fact personally I would go further, I would like both reserves to be British Under-21 riders with their averages protected until they reach 21.
IronScorpion 1,407 Posted July 28, 2021 Yes. Leon & Dan T are going to be very busy under the Rising Star scheme having 5+ & 6+ averages respectively guesting as a RS & not under their true average.

IronScorpion 1,407 Posted July 28, 2021 Is that how high he is? Wow. Is it only promoters, managers or club personnel privy to Rising Star averages as they are nowhere to be found on Speedwaygb or SGB websites.

There's a handful of the rising stars with averages on the GB speedway website but not others for some reason http://www.gbspeedway.com/2021/riderperf.php?mc1=x&mc2=x&mc3=pf&mc4=x&rider=Jordan Palin&league=B&sort=date&comp=CMA&club=Scunthorpe Scorpions

That would mean 2 years ago, you couple had Robert Lambert & Dan Bewley as your reserves! Would staying at reserve be best for their progress!

Doesn’t stop the Poles doing it, not as if they’ve been struggling to produce good quality riders in the past 20 years or so

No thoughts either way about keeping riders at reserve all season.
Robinh88 571 Posted July 29, 2021 (edited) Be interesting to see how Leon does when he moves into the main team? Furthermore if Leon finishes as well as he started, does he stay with Berwick, potentially carrying the team or does he look elsewhere to maximize his development?
