He doesn't know how to ease himself in after injury. It will be normal chaos resumed from race one. That's why we all love watching him.

Did ok to qualify with 8 for the semi for a rider returning from a nasty injury, the more rides he has,  the reflexes will get better hopefully

We shall see I reckon last season was a one off for him and normal service will be resumed

Surely this is nothing unexpected, plus if I've read it right it will be four years before anything happens and assuming this guy is honest they want to find the speedway a new home.

True it's not unexpected. That story was already run in the ET and it's them chancing their arm again (with the detail as they'd already said  "A planning application will be submitted in the Spring 2022" ) on a plan, already previously rejected, outside of the agreed local plan. The ET story said the submitted additional plan would again be rejected, although push it enough and they might get some sort of compromise I guess?

Policy LP36: East of England Showground said (not sure if the Draft Peterborough Local Plan of June 17 was agreed and/or modified on 24 July 2019) "The loss of any existing leisure and sports facilities will not be supported unless replacement facilities are provided in accordance with policy LP30", although that's very much open to interpretation and negotiation as it's worded.

Can't say I'm overly enthusiastic about this season, riders a year older 3 coming back from big enough injuries to which has stopped them doing much over the winter plus Basso replacing Pedersen meaning no strong reserve at all times.

Nobody can take last season away from us however.

Would it not be a good time to form a group to support Peterborough Speedways long term future?  Keeping it independent of any existing promotion might be advantageous.

All the riders they beat last season are also a year older,

If MPT can ride like he did with the busted fingers he should be ok now there fracture free

Nicholls rode with his shoulder issue also now hopefully hes discomfort free

Ostergaard is a worry but both Peterborough and Glasgow seem to equally think hes worth a place still hes even capt Ulrich at Glasgow

Palin needs to kick on this season and get more consistency in his scores ,cant carry him this season in any matches.

Basso will surprise a few

We have a thriving, or at least we are told as such, supporters club and network so I'd have thought that falls within their remit in the short term at least. They are as independent as much as any club associated group can be. A splinter group, along the lines that you mention, might develop if more pressure is needed.  The main thing for this year IMO would be to always ask where Peterborough Speedway fits within any forthcoming development plans and make sure that question doesn't go away. Bottom line is that we're pretty well stuffed, it's just the timeline that I'm still not clear of.

Since his tangle at Monmore with Ryan Douglas hes gone up another level with his consistency in his scoring , to think someone posted on the 2022 Predictions thread hes the weakest number 1 in the premiership this season

That's not someone being nasty, as MPT has the lowest ave of the 6 numbers ones & 4 of the number twos, that's a fair assessment pre-season!

We have.

1. Its called the Peterborough Panthers Speedway Supporters Club.

2. Peterborough Speedway 100 Club.

Both actively support Speedway in Peterborough.

MPT, Harris, Ostergaard and Palin all have at least one meeting under their belt.

Not sure if Andersen, Nicholls and Basso have done anything as yet
