Enjoyed Allens input and Hayley is great Paul Bowen asked that question of Laurence & a minute or so later Hayley asked it of Ashley Morris - it's almost like they weren't listening to each other - as you say very poor! Paulco 7,080 Posted April 4, 2022 Last minute decision to go to Berwick on Saturday , my own track doesn't open till the 15th so was getting impatient. But it turned out a good decision as it was pretty decent for an early season meeting . It never really told us much , we know Berwick look a solid outfit , and sadly while Josh Auty is riding a lawn mower Birmingham lack the fire power to make much of an impact away from Perry Barr . Berwick can make early season hay with Etheridge at reserve and will dish out thumpings at Shielfield while that remains the case.
Stuntdouble 118 Posted April 4, 2022 The big test will be the first away meeting to see how the team performs . Solid start from the whole squad on Saturday. Leon out in the dirt as usual . Jye was tremendous , Harris and Wells were as expected and ty Theo and Kyle also rode strongly. Ellis didn’t have the best night but was impressed with your young reserve. Overall a decent meeting with dare I say it passing. Proves it’s possible . Onwards and hopefully upwards
Fromafar 10,370 Posted April 4, 2022 Good win for the Bandits, interesting that our early away matches include Birmingham &Newcastle + Edinburgh.Hopefully a good chance to pick up points on the road judging by early results. You never know with Armadale but the Monarchs newcomers could take a while to settle in. Bandits4eva 1,002 Posted April 4, 2022 As others say, our first real test comes on the Easter weekend when we go to Armadale… but with favourable matches at Brum and Newcastle to come, we must capitalise before they can get time to settle! A very encouraging start from us as a team though! Left Shielfield on Saturday feeling very happy like many others!
szkocjasid 3,042 Posted March 6, 2023 Just watched the match on the BSN. Typical Berwick track tbh, if riders gated on got into the outside line, not much chance of passing. At this stage of the season (pre-injuries)you certainly wouldn't have expected Berwick to lose so many at home. Agree with others that it was a poor show of Bowen & Bromwell to ask about team changes so early in the season, as a former rider you'd expect Bowen to side with the riders & expect them to be given time!
