Steve Shovlar 10,439 Posted May 13, 2022 Thought Drew Kemp was Pirates man of the meeting. Had two duffers but battled hard and his pass of Riss was top drawer.
Yearbyred 1,107 Posted May 13, 2022 Didn’t go or see the stream but Poole obviously well worth the large away win based on the updates, so well done to them. Thought the Pirates would have too much strength in depth, particularly with 2021 honorary Bear Drew Kemp at reserve. Bears have looked vulnerable at home a few times already and needed the top 3 all to be on top form and they obviously weren’t. Weakness of the team is the second strings, reserves are young lads on the up so can’t expect big points from them consistently. There will be a few away sides eyeing up points at Redcar this year I reckon.

Excellent Riss was Rissoles again looking at his heat by heat scores. But still, no taking away from Kemp's determination to score points after 2 zero's & passing Riss in the way u describe. Kemp as the right mindset that it takes to be a winner, to be a Pirate FROM ZERO TO HERO Edited May 13, 2022 by Turnip
Shaleshifter 177 Posted May 13, 2022 (edited) Great win for the Pirates especially in securing 4 league points. Agree that Drew Kemp was the match winner. The heat 12 5-1 over Eric Riss and then again in heat 14 was sublime. The live stream was good although I did experienced some buffering. Up the Pirates.
