With the aggregate BP back, whatever the side is, it needs to be home track specialists only...

Wolves will benefit massively from this rule and given the Aces smashing of so many last year, so should they if they bring in the right riders...

Aggregate BP shouldn't make a massive difference, as to win the league teams had to win the play-offs over two legs anyway! So it was already advantageous to be able to pick up big home wins.

Could be critical in terms of league position for who makes the playoffs and which team gets to choose their playoff semi-final opponents.  It also keeps meetings interesting, Belle Vue got battered at Owlerton in the league but having battered the Tigers at the NSS the aggregate bonus would have given both teams motivation late into the meeting.  I'm glad it's back, just don't want the "super heat" rubbish.  There is nowt wrong with a good old fashioned 45-45 draw.
Assuming it's:
Bewley    8.92 (2021 9.14 less 2.5%)
Kurtz    8.24
Blodorn    5.45
Brennan    4.40 (2022 5.86 less 25%)
12.00 for the final two.

Which team do you prefer?

1. Bewley, Kurtz, Zagar, Blodorn, Brennan, Berge & RS

2. Bewley, Kurtz, Wright, Blodorn, Lidsey, Brennan & RS

Option 2 for me. Both will score the same points combined.

anyway it’s option 2 at belle Vue

Difficult to choose really.  Neither Wright nor Zagar have much scope to improve.  While Zagar is the best rider to watch at the NSS his scores on the road have been disappointing this year. Wright is a solid middle order rider home & away.

Lidsey is a Ekstraliga rider and will likely make a mockery of his starting average, but needs to be a heat leader.  Less would be expected of Berge but he would improve his starting average but not by as much and there would be less pressure on him.

I'd go with option 2.  With Wright & Lidsey in the team one of Brennan & Blodorn would always be at reserve, it would be asking allot of the two reserves from 2022 to be in the 1-5 for the season in 2023.

Lots of improvement in that team tbh.

Blodorn, Brennan & Lidsey will only keep improving,

Bewley will do a Jason Doyle and end up with a 10+ average imo.

Are we going to get the final averages as in other years or are we going with the cartel figures?

If anyone should know it will be the BSF sheep than slavishly follow the cartels every whim without question.

Lidsey yes, must have developed since he last rode here. Blodorn attained that average from being at reserve all year, he could suffer a sophomore slump.

I don't really understand the decision of retaining Kurtz over Fricke. Fricke is the better rider & the averages are very similar. Plus no loan fee. Can't imagine Leicester are paying Fricke mega bucks.

i don't think Fricke is any better than brady at home and brady is far better away that was maybe the thinking in the decision and that's assuming brady signs.

That six come to 37.17 using stats from http://speedway-stats.co.uk/ as the BSPA site seems to be down and Thompson is 2.50.  Amazed Sheffield do not wish to retain Kerr.

indirectly they have retained kerr is it not the same owner for both clubs?
