They obviously weren't planning to have the strongest "RS" otherwise they wouldn't have gone for Mulford (no offence). Nothing has changed in that perspective. Perhaps they could strengthen up in time for the play-offs, but until then - no rush! You say "no rush“ but at the moment we are carrying Mulford. Play-off time is too late as I am sure the circumstances/rules that allowed for us to pull in Lambert last year have now been closed. So it is a matter of whether we gamble on Mulford improving enough so that we not only make the play-offs but we are strong enough to compete?
perspicacia 0 Posted June 22, 2023 Wouldn't you know the minute we talk about the possibility of Mulford being replaced he goes and gets a a half decent score at home. Let's hope this is a sign of permanent improvement and not a flash in the pan

Let's hope this is a sign of permanent improvement and not a flash in the pan He needs to learn to gate... Plenty of speed, but always 20 yards down from the leader exiting turn two.. Usually chases down well, and always there or thereabouts, and in the race for 4 laps.. He isnt a "natural" given he has an "awkward" style, (is he a tall lad?), which means he can scrub off speed on the bends, as the bike doesn't always "flow"... Plenty quick enough when in front though..
Joseq7 363 Posted July 4, 2023 Random question..... We're visiting the NSS Monday 17th July for the first time. We're staying at the Sportscity Travelodge. Would anyone recommend somewhere local-ish for dinner before the meeting?

It's off the roundabout next door to the Premier Inn. 1

That sounds pretty much perfect.

perspicacia 0 Posted December 9, 2023 So any thoughts on the new team for 2024? Is it a winning team?

I think that it's a team that will improve as the season goes on, and will just about make the playoffs, but they are a level below Sheffield and Ipswich at the start of the season. As always, injuries will make the difference as the season progresses Edited December 9, 2023 by Garry1603
