Given that both Rew & Hume now have identical averages, would moving Rew to #6 and Hume to #2, with Barker going to #4, be a viable option for Monday's home match against Sheffield and for the following month.

The regs say:

In any declaration where 2 or more riders hold an identical MA (cannot be determined by a 3rd or more decimal point) then the re-declaration must nominate the hierarchical order.
Where riders have a previous MA, then the higher placed rider from the previous issue shall retain the higher position.

As Rew didn't have an MA as was assessed, then I think it allows us to move him to #6 if desired. If he did have an MA (not assessed), then he would have had to stay in the main body of the team.

I disagree

Section 10.2 is headed 'match average' and then deals separately with established and assessed averages. So the only credible statutory construction of the regulations is that Rew has a match average. Therefore 10.3.1 applies and he must be in the top 5.

A 2 man team yet again

Joe … nice lad 0,0,0

King awful again
Barker lucky to get 4

Rew in his first season always likely to struggle a bit in the main body

Come on Louis sort it out and move at least King and Joe out the door

tonight has to be the nadir of the witches season. drew kemp the failed homegrown talent rubbing salt in the wounds.   if louis wants to keep any kind of credibility with the fans he needs to splash the cash on some replacements and fast before our season is done.

It will need a miracle to turn this around. On the plus side, Emil and Jason are crowd pleasers and more often than not show how it can be done. Apart from these guys the team is a shambles. King and Thompson need to be put out to grass and given that the chances of a play off place are becoming remote, try some new talent and hope that the current set up league wise survives another season. Not convinced that the sport can continue as is and the current arrangements show why more meetings are needed to bring on the talent not the current farce with once every three weeks or so for a home meeting. If you cannot change and start having meetings be they individual, four team or pairs in addition to the joke of league racing than every promoter needs to think long and hard and decide if it is worth continuing with the current set up. While the powers that be piss from a great heigh on Nora events, they are also killing off the sport as we all know it.

You would think that very soon Jason and Emil are going to get fed up with the lack of support they are getting. Things need to change and change right away. What the answers are I have no idea. Glad I’m not a promotor but Chris and his sponsors will be fully aware of the state the team is in. No blame what so ever on our top two riders but for gods sake they need support.

The issue is with Riss possibly healthy and coming back into the team we are likely to be way over the points limit especially with Rew only going down to 4.00.

Joe is out of his depth unfortunately at this stage of his career, Kemp should replace him after tonight's performance or if they still don't want him in the team Connor Bailey will do.That is all we can do unless we change the whole team!

Just what do you expect of Danny King? His GSA has increased from 6.41 to 6.79.
The problem with the Witches team lies elsewhere, namely…….
1) not adequately replacing Riss.
2) the form of your RS

Danny is in the mould of Lewis Kerr at lynn. A move would benefit both parties imo. He has been a fantastic servant to Ipswich but it’s time to move on.
