Could thel ref not just exclude the rider for "delaying the start" in that instance?

I Haven’t a clue,but Woryna did get a warning last night.

Enjoyed the day down at Redcar. Edwards rode very well . Score was about what a lot of Berwick fans thought. Positives in TJ and Rory looking decent, Jye getting a full meeting in and Cole’s a bit unlucky with mechanicals. Jonas looked decent too. Overall a decent day and must say thanks to all at Redcar as it seems a very well run unit. Ps the food was cracking .

Worth the journey for the steak pie & peas

Missed the parade did Flint fall in that.Thought it was maybe at the Berwick Press and Practice.Rory looked sharp(his kindof track, slick and dry )TJ and Jonas put in a good show.

Yes each team had a minutes practice before the start. Flint lost control and fell hitting the fence near the starting gate.

Is this a new or were Redcar just being generous.

Seems that didn't help him ? Normally good at Redcar

It seems to be a new thing they are trying, it then means the riders ride out in order to be introduced to the crowd, without helmets, so no stopping to do practice starts etc. one lap and straight back into pits.

Personally I like it - with a normal parade the riders all sit with helmets on then it is a mad rush to get pushed off  and absolute total chaos - just feels more professional way to start the proceedings

think the Redcar introduction system is a great new idea, but riders should come out in numerical order to avoid slight confusion.

Gary Flint saying lack of competitive track time costing Berwick a few points, then why would you want to start the season with the KO cup, especially as there are few spare dates for most Clubs this season.

Bad excuse for me, should've started with a challenge match (against Newcastle) if they were concerned about being rusty!

Or maybe a league crossover with KL!

Trying to give a realistic suggestion, close enough to entice some Diamonds fans so they don't lose money.

Let's be honest Bandits would get thrashed by Lynn!

There was a comment that Lynn also looked rusty tonight, so would help each other!

Why indeed, the Berwick riders had a duty to be ready for the fixture as they had enough time to get the necessary preparations in place to be ready, though they probably weren't helped  by the club agreeing to a KO Cup fixture straight off, poor planning and a poor excuse.

Is he not just trying to hide the fact that yet again they have built a not very competitive team?
