I think this will be a very tough match for Wolves. Doyle is a great rider around Monmore and hard to be beat. I ignore Emil's scores from long ago at Monmore, , they are irrelevant, a  top rider. Heats 13 and 15 look daunting, and King also has been doing well. Ahead of the match I would take 46-44.

Leicester dubbed a tricky track that Emil might take a bit of getting used to and he broke the track record in his first race, be hilarious if he broke the monmore record tonight as well!! Haha!

tonight really hinges on Hume and rew I think, the top two and king/barker will score enough for us to get a tight win if the aforementioned pick a few useful points each, ultimately tho I think it’ll be a wolves home win with both sides in the 40’s points wise

Difference being at Leicester you don’t have to literally turn the bike inside out on the second bend to get up the back straight! Monmore is like no other, that’s why some top class riders have struggled there over the years and why even some bang average Wolves sides on paper, have still managed to make it a fortress.

Wolves by 6.

Should be a close match ..Wolves need points in the bag at the end ...

For sure monmore is more specialist but Emil just looks incredible so far this season, tbf Ipswich you have to turn pretty hard too and he was the fastest by a mile at practice day from the first lap and all season matching Doyle…

he’s not going to be caught out like many continental riders with his motors being too strong I don’t think, he looks to have machines dialled

Emil will probably be ok because he's a class act, but it must be said that Monmore Green is very, very different to Leicester or the Foxhole.

Witches won twice (is that right?) at Monmore last year and traditionaly tend to do ok there from memory, I think a narrow home win 46-44 maybe for this one!

Disagree here. On the old circuit with the long straights and tight bends you had to turn hard, but not this current Ipswich circuit. It’s night and day since the changes with the widened bends and the all in one smooth transition around the bends. The circuit is much more circular in shape and is much “easier to ride” according to a few riders including Louis himself. At Monmore, you pretty much have to turn so hard on the second bend you almost come to a complete halt before getting your wheels in line and get going again up the back straight! Easy to see why a lot of the riders (and supporters to be fair)  don’t like it. I’ve never been a fan and I accept you do at times get some close racing and overtaking, but visually it’s never appealed to me. On the flip side though I guess it’s good to have something a bit different from the norm!

Top riders tend to ride well anywhere but might take a heat to get fully familar. I know in the old days a fair few supposed top riders would whine about Arena - but the really top riders would come and score massively there!

Peterborough lost by 10 at Wolves with the #1 on the night scoring 3+1 and there #6 a championship HL scoring zero  , so you would think Ipswich should be more than capable of running Wolves closer than them.

We did indeed but as someone rightly pointed out earlier, one of those was down to Riss racking up a cricket score at reserve. We do still have riders that go well here though, Doyle obviously, king can win races here and Barker can also be a nuisance at times.
