Un arranged Fixtures

Looking at he Speedway GB site it shows that Peterborough have to arrange to race Sheffield twice at home (possible 6 points for Sheffield inc bonus points)

Also, there is only one Monday/Thursday date between now and the end of August, when both teams don't have a match, but that is the date the British final is taking place.

Don't forget Leicester also have to fit in the 2022 Jubilee Trophy Final :D

That's an August 2024 deadline...:D

Or maybe 2025.... ;)

Also you get buster canceling meetings because of a broken gate for one meeting, and another to sort his finances out.

God....

Moan, moan, moan..

That's all you ever get on here..

I am sure they will have planned for all situations and there will be a seamless transition into the play offs from the qualifiers...

Let's have some faith in those who do such a magnificent job in running the sport in the UK...;)

You'd think the authorities would be used to clubs falling to complete their fixtures before the cut-off in previous seasons & so discussed how to avoid it happening again at the AGM right? Or am I expecting too much?

So the cut off date for league fixtures to be completed is the 31st August...but why?

Ok there may be some contractual agreements with Eurosport/WBD to ride the play offs and finals on certain dates, but they don't start till the 11th Sept, so why cant someone in authority now step up to the plate and announce that they are moving the KO Cup final dates from the 4th and 7th September to the first 2 dates in October?  As there are no guarantees whatsoever that the 2nd semi between Ipswich and Peterboro will have been ridden by the 4th September anyway, given that it could be raining on the 7th August. Plus there is no agreement with TV channels to show the KO Cup...BSN can adjust their schedule at a moments notice anyway.

The moving of the KO Cup final dates would then allow 2 extra days to ride unfinished league matches, of which Sheffield and Peterboro currently have 3, so not all will be finished anyway

I imagine the date was brought forward due to the ridiculous situation last year of running play offs in October (November for the championship) when its wet

Well they now have a simple choice, finals etc in October, or race them on the current specified dates and run the risk of Ipswich winning the grand final when they only made the play offs due to Sheffield not completing their fixtures in August.
