Entertainment.

Recommended Posts

If ever there was an advert why speedway has this follow the leader stigma, look no further than tonight's WC Team event, track was a disgrace from the very first race, tyre packed to resemble a main road, literally one line. Entertainment value probably 4 out of 10, Tai Woffinden certainly expressed his disgust at the track, not sure who was responsible for it(home track staff or SGP) but surely they can see no one wants a slick one line track, not riders or fans?

Stadium was empty and no disrespect to anyone but seen more at Mass on a Sunday morning.

It is all for the boys.

Presenter/commentator cannot pronounce the names/ get results right or even identify riders. Sorry what a bag of crap

….. And then we move on to the final. I’ve followed the sport for almost 50 years and cannot recall a better meeting than tonight. It had the lot (apart from  a GB win, gutted for the lads), the four best teams in the world giving it everything, with more passes than a village idiot on Mastermind. Even when there was no passing, the racing was superb. If you didn’t enjoy that, Speedway isn’t for you.

It’s sport. Sometimes it is entertaining, sometimes it isn’t. A minimum requirement should be that tracks are prepared to encourage good racing however. After that it’s down to the riders.
