Petecc 352 Posted August 18, 2023 2 point loss, and robbed by a referee re running a race when the leaders are on lap 3. Birmingham were not as bad as predicted. Too many passengers yes.

Too many passengers yes. What are you on about? The race was stopped on a 4-2 (although Charles was very close to passing Sedgmen, hence why it wasn’t awarded) and the re-run was a 4-2 to Brum? Birmingham did well but were greatly improved by having Lawson at 1 instead of Morris (16 for Lawson, Morris scored 2 here last time). Sedgmen had a typical meeting at Redcar and I thought Starke did well (as he should at Reserve). Solid enough from the Bears top 5 but the reserves were heavily outscored. Need to improve for the play offs. Some decent, fast racing on a well prepared track.

Brian Buck 65 Posted August 19, 2023 Seemed a fair enough decision to re-run that race, to me. Wright might well have overtaken Sedgy on the last lap, so I have no complaint about that! I watched the meeting on the stream and was most impressed with the commentary and with the presentation. A good meeting raced on a very well prepared track, and a close scoreline from start to finish - what more could a speedway enthusiast ask?
