For those that might be interested there is an interview with Adam Ellis in the star this week a short summary is (edit actually its now last weeks WE 27th jan)

1/ He wasnt surprised to be ditched by Sheffield last season he felt things were going well on the continent but not in the UK for whatever reason. He even contemplated quitting the UK scene and focusing on the Polish league and other stuff.

2/ He suspects his GB call up for the WC was due to him riding in Poland -

3/ He is optimistic for the season ahead and is looking foward to riding for Pila and having Hans Nielsen as his TM. he is also keen to get going back at Ipswich - he also feels riding with Doyley and Emil will benefit him.

Foxhall should serve as a better home track for Adam I think, he’s had some very good meetings in the last few years and some indifferent of course.

One of best seasons was in the Swindon team with Doyle too so hopefully that can breed some confidence into him riding with Jason again.

with our top 2 being so imperious home and away the pressure on the rest of the team is so much lower than in other years, no one really has to do more than the expected/capable to be in the playoffs, too many years the teams have been built lumping pressure on the likes of Danny to go out and be a top 1/5 and it’s just not a fair expectation of him

Let’s hope so - I saw him a couple of times at Owlerton last year and in one meeting if he gated he won fairly comfortably - in the other he was struggling badly.

Most of them are aren’t they? To be fair to Ellis at least his gating is usually pretty good.

It’s that time to ask the annual question……when is press and practice day?

Thursday 14th, same day as the meet the riders event later that evening.

Plenty of rain again today but forecast is now a dry and mild couple of days ahead so the track should be good on Thursday and the boys can get plenty of laps in.
