I have no problem with Sheffield using Guests, but I have with the guests they are using. Lambert is on an assessed average and Harris rode for us in the other semi. There are three teams Sheffield could pick riders from and if another team has used a rider in the play-offs he shouldn't be allowed to ride for another. They should have to pick from Lawson, Sedgmen, Kerr, Laguta, Tarasenko, Basso, Iversen or Palm-Toft.

Are Sheffield stronger with Lambert & Harris over Woffinden and Musielak?

The answer is no.

Ipswich should stop moaning and get on with it.

What do the rules say ?

It's a shambles that Chris Harris can guest For Sheffield having already rode for Ipswich.  The rules are making a joke of the sport again.

Harris’ team (Peterborough) didnt make the playoffs so he can guest for however many he likes... Its riders from playoff teams that cant guest for anyone else

No assessed averages and that is what Lambert is on, and in the best interest of speedway Harris shouldn't ride for Sheffield having already rode for Ipswich, makes the sport look so amateurish.

It's a complete cock up.  Harris rode in the semi final so he should fall under the same rules as Belle Vue and Wolves riders.  It makes no sense that this is allowed to happen.  The Rules again are making a mockery of the sport.

Why would Danny King sit on the  sidelines not earning in the top league for year. I don't know  were to start pulling your idea apart..but it's insane if think your going to find  7 Danny King types who are just going to wait to earn money  for a call up in case a rider gets injured.. its just  the normal when someone moans about the current rules  they come up with ideas that can't work in practice.

6 side prem next season so 7 riders will already be on the sidelines next year, and its not the sidelines its a squad place! So could ride some weeks others not

A fair few riders available for the 2nd rising star spot

Might entice some other riders back for a squad place Tungate, Bjerre, Thorsell, Michelsen, Thomsen etc

Might attract some younger european riders to take a squad place

Might even attract riders like Vaculik, Lambert, Lindgren to share a no.1 berth

Plus there are a few riders already in the championship who would like a squad place  Thomsen, Etheridge, Batchelor, Knudsen etc.

If you rode speedway and had a championship ride and no top flight ride, would you settle for a squad place in the top flight, absolutely you would

As my previous post Sheffield have plenty of other riders to choose from. Even tho their averages might not be as high as the one being replaced, Ipswich could only get Harris who's average was almost 2.5 below Doyle

But yet, the only reason why Ipswich are even in the final is due to a Peterborough team (that made as many, if not more changes than Sheffield) winning an unlikely tie on aggregate against Leicester after improving their team massively.

But of course, that was all fine!!

Sheffield made changes when certain riders were underperforming, Ipswich didn't despite many fans calling for King (at that point) and Riss to go.

Are Sheffield any stronger with guests than with Tai and Tobi, not on paper but could be. Are they any stronger than the first team put together, not really.

It is what it is!! Lets just hope for a great close final and may the best team win!

Massively.

10 man squads for next season

An extra rising star, then a choice between sharing the no.1 spot, or an additional heat leader avg below their stated no.1 and an additional 2nd string

Guests and RR at an absolute must if you have 4 riders injured in your 10 rider squad

For example, Ipswich

1. Sayfutdinov

2. Riss

3. Douglas

4. B. Cook

5. Doyle

6. Rew

7. D Thompson

HL Res 8. King - covers any missing heat leader who has a higher average

SS Res 9. Hume - covers any 2nd string or Reserve who has a higher average

RS Res 10. J. Thompson - covers for any missing reserve or rising star

Worst case scenario if Doyle and Emil were missing together

King comes in for Emil, 4th highest avg becomes 3rd heat leader and Hume comes in as a 2nd string or no.6

and every team runs out of money

Indeed he should

And what happened to the "gentleman's agreement" that was supposedly in place to prevent it despite the regs not ruling it out?

Can only assume that means that one of the parties isn't a gentleman.....
