BSN Groups

Recommended Posts

Have the groups for 2024 been announced?

I'd assumed the groups would be:

Edinburgh, Glasgow, Workington

Berwick, Redcar, Scunthorpe

Oxford, Plymouth, Poole

Or

Berwick, Edinburgh, Glasgow

Redcar, Scunthorpe, Workington

Oxford, Plymouth, Poole

But saw Berwick have announced their season tickets based on 12 meetings (8 league, 1 KOC & 2 bsn) adds up to 11, so wondered if they were having 3 bsn fixtures / counting the NL individual clubs have to hold or can't count?

Maybe it’s groups of 5 and 4

That makes less sense to me, there's 3 southern & 6 northern teams

I'd think the 4 northern clubs be together. Whoever of Workington and Berwick doesn't get included in the northern group of 3 would be doing fair bit more travelling than the other. And yes I'm aware the riderd don't all live in Workington or Berwick

If it is a group of 4 will probably be Glasgow, Edinburgh, Berwick plus one of Workington / Redcar

Not three Friday tracks in the same group, surely?  If it is a 4-club group, would be the three regular 'Scottish' sides, plus Worky......

Can't see how that would work, allowing a 4 team group to save Berwick & Workington travelling, but means Redcar & Scunthorpe having to go to Poole & Plymouth twice?

3x3's: 1) Glasgow, Edinburgh & Berwick. 2) Workington, Redcar & Scunthorpe. 3) Oxford, Poole & Plymouth.

If they want to stretch it out 2 groups one with 5 (Glas,Edin, Ber, Work, & Red) & one with 4, but I doubt they will have Scunny in a Southern group!  So, I'd say the 3x3's with the winners and the best runners-up going into a Semi Final.

Berwick have edited their post to add a challenge match, so it must be 3 groups of 3?

Shame they didn't answer my query / thank me for pointing out their error!
