Would be happy with Riss but don’t think he will be in UK next season. Would rather we went with Bastian and a new 5.00 than Lasse and Thomas. Makes no sense to bring Bastian over this season then not use him next season

Totally agree with that, but just going by rumors of him racing at Berwick. In a weaker league think Thomas would put lots on his average (assuming he's recovered from his injuries) meaning Lasse could end up at reserve.

Not sure why many feel Kye had such a disappointing season last year, he went from 6.60 to 6.48, so hardly a disaster. Riders all wait to improve but not everyone will do it every season.

Kye has a higher average than Zach Cook, but I've not read a single comment from Poole fans saying "he needs to step up this year". Perhaps Kye's problem was he was too impressive in his first couple of years, has he been a 4.00 then a 5.00 like Zach he'd have got more credit last year?

Josh Pickering actually lost more off his average than Kye (8.92-8.63) but I don't read many people subjecting Picko to the same "he should do better" comments like Kye gets?

If that's true, how about? Would have the best reserve in the league imo

Edinburgh
Justin Sedgmen 7.69
Erik Riss 7.35
Kye Thompson 6.48
Paco Castagna 5.30
Lasse Fredriksen 4.57
Jack Thomas 4.51
Max James 2.00
Total 37.90

Heat 13: Edinburgh 1 - 5 Glasgow -- Harris 3 Worrall 2* Riss 1 Sedgman 0

Heat 15 Edinburgh 1 - 5 Glasgow -- Worral 3 Harris 2* Sedgman 1 Riss 0

That's the reality if Sedgman and Riss are the two heat leaders next season.

Kye as a 3rd heat leader averaged less than 5 away from home which is awful. Josh also poor for what was supposed to be a number 1.

Probably be a similar outcome against majority of teams in the league.

Big year I feel for kye. Feel he could be the difference between having a season like last year which was utter rubbish to a side that will be competing in the play offs.

really needs to find some consistency this year and step up into the heat leader role was on the end of too many 5-1s last year which cost us many meetings.

So no Paco if your looking for consistency

Felt paco got a bit more consistent as the season went on. Done his job as a 2nd string imo. As a heat leader kye should be going out and winning races if not getting 2nd places. Too many lasts and thirds last year.

But what about the 7 heats neither Harris or Worrall appear in?

Luckily the points gained in all the other heats count the same as those from heats 13 and 15.

History repeating itself, I fear. Assembling a similar looking side to last year, if rumours are to be believed and there are no suprises.

Is the hope just ‘the whole league will be weaker, so a similar team should do better’?

We were told we’d have a fresh look to the team in 2024 after a poor 2023. However so far and with what is rumoured we seem to have back tracked on this.

At least Max James is a fresh face so far, and that's a plus.  The surprise could actually be that there no surprises, but have a feeling there may be at least one, otherwise what would be the "exciting news" that was promised earlier ?

Think promotion need to announce our number one (if signed).

We can’t afford to have another season like 2023. Why bother to bring Bastian over last season to lose out on him in 2024.

Don’t think Richie Worall scenario has helped our team building.
