I’ve just read it. Apparently everyone is now happy that the rule is that, if a rider’s wheels CROSS the white line, then that would normally lead to disqualification. And, despite multiple views from photographers and videographers, there is no evidence that Cook CROSSED the white line. Well, that’s everyone expect the BSPL chairman who is making up his own rule that even touching the line should lead to disqualification. Where has this man been? I’m sure many people, like me, have watched many slow motion replays where there’s been dust coming from a back wheel but zooming in has shown the tyre on the line not over it. Indeed, wasn’t that Darcy Ward’s favoured method of passing? The Poole bashers have been out in force on this one but the Poole management, unlike too many others, have done the right thing by not adding fuel to this unnecessary fire. I am convinced that, had it been Josh Pickering not Zach Cook whose wheel had gone on to the line, nothing would have been said. The statement from Neil Vatcher declines to say who wrote the SCB comment which is disappointing - the SCB should have manned up on this, especially as they so quickly threw Paul Carrington under the proverbial bus. At the end of the day, Poole are worthy champions having out-ridden everyone all season and provided some exciting meetings on their travels. And Scunthorpe are unexpectedly for many, me included, runners up. It’s over, folks, so on to 2027.

Unlike many, I liked the RS scheme. But think the changes they are making will make it far worse. Like you say, more likely to mean you sung riders well out of their depth, especially if the league is stronger. Could get a 3.5 Champ rider gaining a Prem spot because he's 20, but a 5.5 Champ rider missing out because he's 21 already! Don't think they've thought this through at all, at least the consequences. -

So this is based on 38 for 6? International u21 avg. Will count towards it and the british "Rising Star" spot wont as before? -
The U21 thing I found a bit confusing also. He said we’re already “half way there” because we already have a rising star scheme. Those rising stars now have to be under 21 riders. He goes on to explain about the 25% rule which will still be active. Cooper Rushen won’t get it because he chose to opt out of the scheme this year and ride at 6, but the likes of Edwards and Joe Thompson will do. The confusing part was William Cairns. “Will Cairns also gets 25% off his average, as he comes out of the rising star scheme” Why is Cairns out of the R/S scheme? He obviously fits the U21 criteria, and he has a GSA of 3.77. The only thing that makes any sense is that Morris knows like Rushen this year, he’s now opted out and is lining up as someone’s other U21 rider at number 6 on a 3.00 average 🤷🏼♂️ He goes on to say new riders are added to the list including Ace Pijper and Vinnie Foord. Theres going to be such a huge disparity in ability between the top end of teams and the bottom unfortunately. Some clubs are going to have to pick up a rising star that’s going to be out of their depth. Not sure on this to be honest.
