Will is a great young rider, yes he’s a character but that’s a good thing? Speedway needs more characters as it’s bums on seats. I’m not saying he’s playing the villain part like Niki Pedersen did but even if he did? We should be building up and supporting Will Cooper Jody and even Luke. As them 4 are probably leading the charge as the future of British Speedway.

Richard plays the average game like a finely tuned fiddle.

Total respect for Richard , but to me a stellar number 1 is a top 5 world rated rider or Emil coming back. JD has been a brilliant servant to UK speedway and although knocking on a bit he will still be a major force in the UK in his sleep, I just think Richard boxed himself into a corner with that statement as if a rabbit isn't pulled out of the hat there will be some disapointed punters.

I wouldn’t be unhappy with that. I find it very hard to believe that Coleman used such strong words as ‘stellar number 1’ in his update, if he was not very confident that he could deliver that. In the UK, Doyle fits that description and I would really like to see Woryna at 5 just for the entertainment value alone.
