  1. If Killer is allowed to ride for Poole instead of C Holder it will show what M Fraud and N Fiddleditch are. Dirty ! Cheating! Barstards.

  2. This league will never be taken seriously while they have so many discrepancies within the rules. Every month it rises its head, yet the officials cant see the damage it does......

  3. Regarding the bibs, I watched the video of the riders coming down the stairs with Middlo and Ford before sitting at the tables in front of the fans - they looked like a collection of riders and certainly didn't look like a team - very poor indeed from Poole (and Somerset)

  4. The point here is that the new rule is unnecessary. It was introduced as a remedy to try to reduce delays at the starring gate but as many have said, you can achieve the same end result by using a time clock, the best option, or by the referee simply enforcing the 2 minutes allowed. So why discriminate against the shorter riders when there are options that show you don't need to do so. We had a rule which was generally in common with other Speedway nations and now we have changed it and are unnecessarily out of line with everybody else.

  5. I heard the negotiations with kildemand only took a few quick text messages...

  6. Not really bothered by the result of this early season opener. The aim of tonight is for the riders to get match fit, get more time on track for their setups and to clear away the winter cobwebs. I didn't think it would be close at BV and that's how it turned out. The same could happen tonight! Swindon's 1-5 are fine and should outscore the opposition - just need the reserves to have a confidence building good meeting. The important goal is to be ready for their first league meeting!

  7. It's like we've been transported back to the nineties. Says it all that even some NL teams will be racing in team suits. I assume my own club are going with racesuits, if not I'll be laying into them too.

  8. Absolutely official. Just not towards averages. I meant to use the term 'redeclare' loosely. And of course you are absolutely correct. Totally inconsistent interpretations of the same rule, dependant on any day and whoever asks. The minute they reassessed some (well just 3 we know) and let some stay on an average after saying if you miss a season then you need reassessing was doomed to failure as soon as they picked and chose who applied. As usual a complete mess up.

  9. They haven't redeclared, they have simply only "declared". On the first issue of the BSPA greensheets there is no mention of Chris Holder who technically isn't a Poole rider as of yet. The biggest issue is the ineptness of the BSPA and it's consistentcy in being totally inconsistent! Instead of picking and choosing which riders to reassess and at what point to aswell, many of us said months ago riders like Woffinden, Zagar, Pawlicki and even the Poles at Poole and anybody else who hasn't ridden here last year, should of just had a calculated percentage added to their original average. Therefore everybody knew where they stood and that was that. That was far too simple obviously....

  10. It's quite a clever ploy really, keep on rule bending and breaking until people either walk away and find something else to do or give up caring and therefore there are no dissenting voices left genius to be honest.

  11. A GP rider is surely any rider that competed in the GPs last year (wildcards excluded). Reserves were given a number and could have qualified for 2018 if they managed to get enough points. Kildemand was competing for position.

  13. Week done to the Robins, a good solid performance in both legs. For the Aces a better performance from Tungate, it looks as if he has sorted his ignition problems. We just need to get Bewley going and give Drozdz time to settle. Far too early to make any firm judgements

  14. To think he struggled in the 2nd tier last season & has no spot this year.

  15. Hold the phone everyone he’s still around! Went on Stainlesssteelride’s profile and he viewed it 17 hours ago! Hello Macca you silent assassin how are you getting on?

  16. Definitely looks like I misjudged Davey. He really is up for this challenge in the top league - hope he maintains this form! He could turn out to be a very shrewd signing rather than the cannon fodder I expected him to be. Glad to be proved wrong!

  17. A world champion speedway rider, taking a short amount of time off due to devastating personal issues, being replaced by a substitute GP rider who hasn't even came close to the champs level and everybody is up in arms. A sport full of ars*holes, and I'm not talking about the promoters.

  18. Gavan why don't you go and do one, how is it a hollow victory, it's only short term replacement, not the whole season, give the bloke some slack, poodle of back to the championship section

  19. Rain and 6 degrees. With quite a few blank Fridays over the season did we really have to start in March.

  20. Mmm something fishy going on, after last year's shenanigans it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he's trying to engineer a way out. After all it's well known he wanted to be at Somerset with his brother and Doyle this season. Sorry, I know he's had issues but I really think there's more to it, especially if he continues with his other commitments

  21. I think the Robins will win this fairly comfortably. Drozdz is going to need time to settle in, i also think Tungate is going to have to improve his away form this season as he wasnt that convincing last season. Cook does seem to struggle a bit at Blunsdon, it will be interesting to see how Etheridge goes too. Davey rode well at our place so im interested to see how he goes tonight, both sides need a few meetings to get up to speed, thats why im giving this a miss and coming down for the league match in May. Hope its a good meeting for you all tonight and you dont freeze too much

  22. Tapes up a week tomorrow so time to start a meeting thread! A few things to look out for from a Witches point of view. How will Hartel start, how will Covatti and Hume return after their near season long injuries, and a chance to look at the track after the final tweaks were completed. Bit concerned that it looks like only a couple of the lads will have rode competitive laps, whilst the Lakeside boys will all have had two meetings in the Lee Richardson memorial, and a fixture against Peterborough. Will that give Lakeside the edge? With such a small group you lose a home fixture you’re probably out!

  28. Actually your wrong as Shane wouldn't be able to do that either. We are both self employed and have our own customers to think of

  30. I believe that it was voted on at the NL AGM that once a rider does 4 League Meetings he gets a average even if it’s for 4 different teams.

  31. True but then again I am about 55 years older than the speedway rider!

  32. Just seen a picture of all the team, what a mess in all the different outfits. maybe Matt has not gone for a team design as he will be changing most of the riders in the present lineup.

  33. Says in this weeks speedway star that the promotion were disappointed and let down at the weekend by a rider who they had agreed terms with... If they were that let down why not just name him!!! I remember few years ago when Ian Thomas was let down by Graham Plant and he had the whole speedway world knowing the next day what had happened

  34. The issue is not the 42.50 - its the fact over the winter so many heat leaders announced they were leaving the league - which left just 12 riders with average of 8 between 11 clubs Then the 5 strong sides immediately signed up 2 each - leaving just 2 between the other 6 (before Scotty came free) - so the league was already split into 2 before the season started Of course it would have been sensible to have the top 11 split across the league, but compromise (lack of) and total self interest ensured that didn't happen ..... along with the Kennett and nicholls saga I don't think Im going out on a limb here but ................... top 5 will be Glasgow sheffield Edinburgh Ipswich and Lakeside (any order) middle 3 will be Peterboro Redcar and Scunthorpe bottom 3 Workington Berwick and Newcastle - who will all lose their 10 away games the top and middle 3 will be the 4tt competitors ..... the clrc will come from there the pairs winners will be 1 of the top 5 cup and league cup will be won by top 5 and the lottery numbers this weekend are 4 10 17 23 30 and 46

  35. I wonder if Holder will need extra time if Killer is scoring well..

  36. Unusual way of looking at it. Kildemand makes Poole weaker in my opinion and the chance for teams to take advantage before CH returns. Would have CH any day over knock me off with a fart Kildemand.

  37. The UK has missed out on MAYBE seeing some of the stars comeback to our shores with the rule that they brought in.Thats ok if everybody abides by the rule but that has not happened here, your club Steve made a huge decision losing Freddie also having little chance of bringing Tai/Piotr in also.Swindon had to let the World Champion go ( Money maybe??) Belle Vue could not consider bringing Zagar back in either. Iversen at King's Lynn also after a year out and is not in the GPS he has to come in on a 9 surely the other clubs object to this? If it is aloud to happen Poole definitely will be bringing the sport into disrepute they certainly know morally it is wrong but my theory on sport on winning/losing if you cheat you really only cheat yourself and it tarnishes your phoney achievement.

  38. Well done Steve, great footage. Im sure Speedway-portal will also have there's up on our home site very soon.

  39. I watched him at Auburn and he looked fast. Got some learning to do, especially on larger tracks, but he has potential.

  40. So yet again its Poole speedway who bring the sport into disrepute with their continual season after season of bending them rules. Replace Chris Holder on a 7 with a better rider in Kildemand and thats deemed as ok? About time Chris Holder was moved on from the UK we dont need his sort in the league. So yet again if Poole win the league it will be yet another hollow victory

  41. It does make you wonder, how this anthem was conceived. Unfortunately all to often fans complain

  42. I agree - has BSPA agreed Kildemand can ride for Poole. Good but craft move by Ford to replace a 7pt rider with a 9pt one and still be within limit.

  43. Just as lucky for you that two of our riders got off their bikes at the start and were put back 15 mtrs otherwise the score could have been the other way round. Max was good but we have no fear of any of the other riders.

  44. Who said he was leader? And how could he be leader when it was set up before him. There is one chap that does the Facebook and Twitter page, so he is the main man. I have a feeling the chap with 56 names was asked if he wanted to sit with a bunch that already sat together and he took it on himself to be leader, but like said above, he fell out with a couple and hasn't been seen or heard of since, which is a shame as he was awsome at blowing his own horn.

  45. Refs are the problem for being too lenient, riders take equal guilt for ignoring the orders of the start Marshall.

  46. JC, Micman I can feel the man love coming through. You are of course right. The bar was set back then. Sadly the standard has fallen way below that level, but of course, as always. Buster knows best. Still here we are new year, a new kid ( well You know what I mean) on the block. Hopes are high. Can They deliver..... Over to you Buster its time to walk the walk.

  47. If they did that and they showed old meetings including guests and R/R would you wish to leave??

  48. You surely have to be closely related to Horton to spout the continual bile and lies on here in support of Horton. The only fact on here is the vast majority of Bees supporters do not rightly so trust Horton and will not be giving him any of their money. Whatever the consequences then so be it but he is the kind of person Brandon Estates need to drag us to oblivion and they will succeed. Jeff and David have always shown passion and integrity to save Coventry stadium and the Bees, all of this is alien to Horton. However you just keep showing your support for that perpetual liar and loser.

  49. Definite no to Bellego IMO. Simply too high an average for me and offers no potential value.
