  1. As much as I would like that, I think it will be an easy win for the aces . Our team is far too inconsistent snd their heat leaders will far out score ours. keeping Batchelor was a terrible decision. Updates for the last meeting said he was tootling around at the back, not trying. That’s him to a tee. job on the line at Leicester, top scorer with best meeting of the season. job safe at Lynn, awful score which cost us the win, despite him being at reserve. A total waste of space
  2. He could score a 7 ride maximum and all that would show would be that he only tries when he feels like it and as we all know, he very rarely feels like it. As I said, a total waste of space
  3. I can’t think of a single foxes fan or for that matter, any other knowledgeable speedway fan who would keep Batchelor above ANY of the other team members. a total waste of space.
  4. I have to say that I am impressed with how hard the two promoters are working. Everything is taking shape nicely off the track. On it, not quite as well. considering how late the team was put together snd how limited the options were, I think the team is performing better than 99% of us expected. yes, there are massive inconsistencies in individual riders performances but that was always going to be the case. Considering the established reputations of several of the riders. on the whole, the team have been in most meetings, especially until heat 13. That then shows the lack of top end power. This team is one rider short of being very competitive against everyone bar maybe belle vue. it will be interesting to see just how ambitious the promoters are as with ZAGAR due to be recovered soon, will they make changes and push on into the playoffs? the only moan I have is that we have now had two meetings , ( last night snd Lynn away), where the lack of tactical knowse from the team manager in not switching his reserves snd better utilising the signing of the season, in Kai Thomson, has cost us both those meetings. To not give Kai extra rides last night snd still give Harrison all four, was criminal. come on Paul and Tony, bring back ZAGAR when fit , keep jonas. One change is all we need to make the playoffs snd turn these last heat deciders into wins.
  5. Just clothing at the moment. Car stickers next home meeting. No badges as yet
  6. How about an education course or, a penalty points award for the referee for making such a shocking decision? The ref did not look at the video evidence before making his decision , despite the rule book saying he must do so if it is available. the excuse that the video evidence was not available whilst the riders were down snd receiving attention, is feeble. Just await those extra few seconds until the riders are sorted then, watch the video ??? I was right level with the incident but the fence restricted my view so I was not fully aware of the facts until I saw the video, when it became blatantly obvious that Rushen moved left, to block harrison. unaware of Rushen’s error, apart from this incident , I was mightily impressed with his nights work. What a talent. That said however, someone should sit him down, go through the video evidence with him and ensure he learns from this both riders could have been seriously injured and were very very lucky to be able to walk back to the pits
  7. There were massive queues to get in, slightly delaying the start. I’d say 2,500-3000 fans. It was rammed
  8. Looks excellent. Great size and shape. Decent amount of banking on the bends. Looks a very fast track will only get better as it settles in and the track staff have more time to work with it. Plenty of track equipment due to arrive in the very near future so all looking very positive. Some good racing tonight, very impressed by both foxes reserves. Gutted for Thomson in heat 14, spark plug problem with half a lap to go , cost him an easy win, the foxes a 5-1 snd the crowd, a last heat decider which the meeting merited.
  9. It says on the clubs official site that nils is awaiting medical clearance to fly as he has been sidelined by a punctured lung. think it’s unfair to question his commitment under these circumstances. Article also says if he gets the all clear, he hopes to be riding in both of Mondays matches personally, I am glad he is doing some meetings to get sharp snd , match fit
  10. Brilliant news Congratulations to everyone connected with the club . All that hard work has been worth the wait. Well done everyone can’t wait for Thursday night. Looks like a very big track
  11. As a lifelong Brummmies fan, I got so disillusioned with the sport that I walked away from it mid season 2024 and haven’t been to a meeting since. there are many similarities with the start Northampton have had to this season , joining the league at the last moment and all the ensuing problems that brings, with the last few seasons at Birmingham. I have thus learned not to have any great hopes or expectations of the upcoming season . I got used to under strength teams snd often, deeply frustrating snd disappointing team performances. I am going to give Northampton a go as they are anew team and thus, I do not have to support any team that I have been “against”, for year after year . all I ask of my new team this season is that all riders and management give it 100% at all times and adopt a positive attitude to a difficult season with a view to being able to start next season on a more even playing field with the other teams where team building is concerned. Can I wish everyone connected with Northampton an injury free season and, one with as few problems both on and off the track as possible. To me, a success season will be one where it hasn’t been embarrassing to admit to being a Northampton fan and more importantly, one where the club grows snd there is not in any doubt about them running again next season
  12. I know Paul from Birmingham. I found him to be very approachable and knowledgeable. He constantly mingled with the fans, seeking their views and opinions and most importantly, seeking to take those views snd opinions on board. I hope this is going to be a great success snd with Paul at the helm, I am very optimistic.
