  1. Greaves is not missing any Redcar meeting. He intends to drive from the Glasgow fixture to Luton Airport and fly to Gdansk. Ride in Saturday's meeting , on borrowed machinery from ex Bear R.Konopka, then fly back Sunday morning to ride at Sheffield. All at his own expense. Now that is commitment for you .

  2. Drama to the end, some brilliant racing! Heats 3 & 5 to name 2! Doyley has big balls to blast round Pieszczek in heat 15!!! Ellis Perks rode his hart out for 3 + 1...need to find another partner for him ASAP! Ippp deserved a point!

  3. I think some of the inconsistent refereeing, especially at Birmingham, seems to come from the fact that the referees box isn't quite in line with the startgate. Twice Shanes has been denied an obvious higher position because of this reason imo. Overall, another good meeting, some close racing, passing, which is fast becoming the norm at Birmingham. Glasgow deserved their win on the night but they certainly knew they'd been in a meeting. No negatives from me about last night and was brilliant to see so many Glasgow fans make the long trip South. Hope they enjoyed their evening, the ones I spoke to were a credit to their club. Hope we see them again soon!

  4. You're a troll, saying Swindon is a slum has nothing to do with the topic, your first post was to say swindon are hopeless, if you want to be taken seriously perhaps you should explain your reasoning for this statement, otherwise it's blatant trolling.

  5. I know we could have grabbed a draw but we was never in front in the match and beforehand I would have happily taken a point from this .... we must be all but in the play offs now

  6. Seem to recall the Redcar Promoter(s) being called names for telling a rider he was going to be replaced ( Richard Hall ) before his last match and now people complaining for NOT fore warning a rider he was being replaced. Can't please all of the people all of the time.

  8. Josh Auty how many times has he ridden this track he’s supposed to be a no 1 or there abouts why can he not perform away from home after all these years..Somerset track pretty similar to ours wide open spaces and can’t perform..don’t give me slick Somerset track ewr has been slick all season and has performed...I expect more frm a so called number 1..what is the problem???

  9. He was riding the bike. You know, those things that go round in circles in front of you. He had the best seat in the house.

  10. If Josh G came up to you after the meeting one on one and told you what he told the press conference would you call him a liar?

  12. Well done boys! Yet another meeting we’ve taken something from. Like I said earlier, fancy us against any side in this league over two legs. Great effort.

  13. One of the best meetings for a long time with Swindon saving themselves with 3 last gasp passes in the Meeting . I give Doyle a lot of stick at times and he look below his best again tonight and never thought he would come out for heat 15 but he did and pull off an amazing pass on the last lap making lines on the track that put him in danger of losing second place for the whole 4 laps . On a negative note another poor crowd on a lovely summers night against decent oppo and that has to be a worry going forward .Swindon as a team thou they are good to watch won't make a dent in in this league unless they can a get a decent reserve . It's bad enough at home but even worst away .

  14. Yeah was good stuff. At least 3 top drawer races. Loads of other close ones. And of course a Robins win!! The ones who said Doyley doesn't do heat 15 or try before a GP look a bit silly now!! He meant that!

  15. Well done guys,,, yet another point on the road. When riders have off nights the others step up

  20. Why he was signed as a 3rd heatleader and up until Tuesday he wasn't even scoring as a good second string. Redcar are only doing what they think is best for them and i applaud them for that, the decision to axe him would have been made before Tuesday. If he had performed as he did on Tuesday prior to that he may still have been there.

  24. To be fair, the final score line on Monday flattered BV - they were definitely the second best on the night and by some margin #justsaying

  26. Ayres is one of the bright lights of British speeedway a guy who would of fitted in perfectly in yesteryear.

  27. Not really about Jack's prowess as a speedway rider but after saying this the guy is only 20, he went through what must have been a hugely confidence sapping season at Swindon last year. He has probably outscored Nathan Greaves on most occasions at home so far this term but Nathan has been much more effective away. There is time for him to make his mark yet.

  28. Well the Poole haters would be on here by now if Poole had done this

  29. Danny was superb for the Witches on Monday at Boro. Sharp from the start and quick and competitive during the race A great character too that enhances your night at the speedway. Always enjoy seeing him in the line up

  36. Yep, my bad in this case It would be entertaining, only problem is Gav likely will get himself too wound up and get banned. When he stays calm he can make very reasoned posts.. and certain Poole fans don't like that reasoning :).

  37. I like Gav. He amuses me. As my own team won't make the play offs now I just hope it's an Ippo Poole final purely for the entertainment we will get on here!!

  38. How can you say that,he may have come last.I couldn't say i hope Ayres would score what Nicol would score or more.Because i wouldn't know how much Nicol would score. But you know Cook would have scored in that last race So your own rider is saying the bumps are still there then.

  40. Not last night anyway. Sarj must have been needing the points money, never even twitched at the gate. My gripe is with inconsistent refereeing, some pull everything back, some wait to see if the rider penalises himself, others let everything go.

  43. If Rasser was at reserve he would have been wasted we need him scoring in the top five. The Witches side is built on filling minor places having no last places and one or two of there riders stepping up to the plate. In our side's make up if one or two of the top five is off the pace that is it, the reserves without a top four will not win you matches. My take is to try to grind a result out tonight then look at thing's again when Tobi gets back on the 18th who knows you might get your wish Bellego at reserve ??? i doubt it though.

  44. Looks like they blew the budget on CGI to add a crowd in at Arlington... I wonder if BT Sport could do the same with their coverage?

  46. Decent meeting, better than I expected after being a season ticket holder 07-09 & from reading match reports on here. Heats of note. 7. Jensen gated & was gone, Brummies hold 2nd & 3rd but neither ride wider than mid-track. May as well of got a Wile-E-Coyote style sign post with "overtake here" pointing at the outside, which Starke duly did. 10. Jensen touches tapes goes off 15m. With debutant Agertoft having his (obligatory?) third ride & considering how quick Jensen had looked I thought he'd catch his fellow Dane by the end of the first lap. Agertoft had taken a couple of laps to get going in his first two outings but once going seemed on the pace. Not the case this time, gated on front of Starke & it was his fellow Tiger who Jensen reeled in. I do wonder if this was a savvy tactical move so Brummies couldn't use Ellis as a Tac Sub replacing R/R Aarnio in the next heat!.Speedway skullduggery at its finest! 11. Perks makes a good cut back on turn 2 to pass Sarjeant down the back straight on final lap . Sarjeant then fell on his own. Shame Perks bike didn't work in his 2nd & 3rd outings. Had I been Brummies team manager I would not have increased his pay with an Aarnio R/R ride! 12. Probably the best race. Bickley riding mid track can't resist Castagna on the white line (barley ventured far from it all night) or Shanes on the outside and Bickley is passed by both Brummies exiting turn 2 on lap 3. 13. Cook riding wide passes Ellis on the inside with ease after a couple of laps Congratulations to Glasgow, too much firepower for Birmingham & deserved all 4 points. With a full septet maybe Brummies could have won. Added bonus, took a whole 12 minutes to get home, probably less time than I spent sat at the Scott Arms junction on the way. Sour taste. £2.40 for a bottle of water. Had it been blessed by the Pope? Has the centre green always been higher than the track? Very odd. Greyhound start gate ruins the view on the flat exiting turn 4, dudes smoking cigars ruins the air on the elevated section on the same bend. Off to apply the missus after sun!
